Someone asked if i had some back in the day shots, had a shiftie, got some more somewhere 16 years old and bought an Rd250dx , was a bit rough but fixed it up and learned how too twirl some spanners on it, got some LC pipes off an older mate who had an elsie 250, painted the motor and the tank etc with rattle tins , will have tae find the AFTER pic somewhere passed my test and bought a 500 triple Kawa, handled like a bucket on ice , worth a fortune now apparently haha a local blew his elsie tae smithereens so i bought the carnage, sent motor too Mr Stan Stephens and sprayed it wup with rattle tins, came up nice , well i thought so at the time haha all done after a few years went four stroke GS1000S As you can see red an white spray jobs are a theme with me haha, anyone mind the old Alpha 4 into 1 on this bike , was as loud as a jumbo jet, i have more in the hoose somewhere will dig em out and scan em You can all have a good laugh at my mullet now, mind i was only 19 haha

I love that, looks real nice, I had the first off the injected ones and its very smooth, the fly by wire ones are choppy low down but ive sorted mine by dropping a tooth on the front sprocket and a pc111 , ive ridden a few off the carb models and love em, wheelie machines Donny

Hi fellas, just joined, names Donny, was searching around for some elsie bits and came across your forum, posted a pic off my 'diesel' R1 in that section, been a biker all my life , my love off all things Yam was started by my first decent bike, a Stan Stephens tuned 4LO , bought it in bits and rebuilt it and sprayed it with rattle cans, thought it looked wicked at the time lol, sold it after 3 years and bought a mars bar one that a taxi thought was invisible, then went 4 stroke for a few years before buying a valve, kept that a few years and sold it for the usual , marriage and kids thing!!! Anyway no bike last all off 4 months but never got another elsie until a couple of years ago but needed dough so they had too go Anyway tae cut a long story short was clearing oot ma ol mans barn and found a pile off bits and pieces that 'luckily' id greased and oiled up and chucked in an old wardrobe, engine (350) carbs , wheels, headlights few wee bits an pieces, anyway gonna get back intae elsie land and looking for a runner or something needing refreshed, a wee project noo the kids have shot the crow lol a wee pic off my first elsie with me at 19ish years old and hair

oh!!forgot tae say , reason ive joined is , I was clearing out ma ol mans barn and found a whole pile off lc bits id stored , knew they were there but didn't realise how much stuff id kept, ive a 4lo motor , just stripped it and its good to go with some new seals etc, carbs etc, so im gonnae look for a rolling chassis or even a runner needing tidying, we project , live in Western Isles of Scotland by ra way.
