I think he is deffo in with a chance, he is looking better this year on the Honda. I think he'll win the other Supersport too.
Superbike and Superstock will be dominated by Hickman, Dunlop, Harrison and Todd me thinks, but i daren't predict the order!!!
Would love Todd to win one.

What a fantastic clip!!
No, not indicators, they are lever guards, to protect the brake or clutch from being snapped off. All race bikes and even trackday bikes have to have one fitted for the brake lever, clutch is optional. The holes drilled in the levers are to let the air through to stop the pressure applying the front brake, really! The speeds are so high now!
Most (the riders preference) race bikes have a race shift pattern, so push down to change up, purely for when they are leant over they can still change up, don't have to get their foot under the lever.

For those who are interested, the TT starts this week with practice week, although it is not televised, there are programmes every night at 9pm on ITV4 about the TT!
Next week they will hopefully show highlights of each days racing on the same channel.
Cannot wait!

Well, i watched the first one and thought it was excellent! There was some reference to the danger etc. but that is inevitable. The riders came across really well, brilliant!

Nice one Johnny, but i hope it is about the positive side to the racing and not just another 'look how many people die doing this' type thing.

I quite agree with all the comments re: poor coverage and some of the commentary plus somewhat chaotic organisation, but i still enjoyed it.
The speed is incredible, the supersport 600's at 184mph, i know they have tuned engines, but even so! Then the superstock 1000's at over 200mph on a stock engine, it's just amazing!

Maroon and speedblocks heading away from Boxhill, on dual carriageway going towards M25/Oxshot, i was on opposite carriageway on blue and white 4LO.

The FHO Racing BMW Motorrad team are withdrawing from the 2023 fonaCAB and Nicholl Oils North West 200 due to no confidence in the application of the Superstock technical regulations. The Superstock class technical regulations mandate the machines must fully comply with conditions regarding the wheels, where Superstock machines must remain with the originally homologated wheels from the manufacturer, which from BMW are carbon. It then goes on to prohibit carbon material, however aftermarket wheels are also not allowed and no mandated alternative specification is prescribed. The FHO Racing BMW M 1000 RR machines passed scrutineering on Tuesday (9 May) and were allowed to take part in all qualifying sessions before being informed they were not allowed to race moments before the Briggs Equipment Superstock race this evening. Having taking this issue out with the fonaCAB and Nicholl Oils North West 200 organisers, there is no confidence that the FHO Racing riders could take part in a race with the obvious dangers, and risks that road racing prevents and then the performance protested or disqualified on a technicality that is not adequately explained. The FHO Racing team have checked the 2023 technical regulations against those of 2022 and the regulations remain the same, where the team raced the carbon homologated wheels in both Superstock races, as well as the event in 2019. The effort commitment and logistics required to compete in the North West 200 are significant and this lack of confidence in the organisation renders the teamโs participation in this yearโs event impossible. The FHO Racing team would like to sincerely apologise to all its sponsors and fans, and the team are now looking forward to getting back out on the roads in a few weeks time at the Isle of Man TT Races.

This is ludicrous, when the NW200 very nearly didn't happen, to then have teams withdrawing is not very encouraging going forwards, I mean will FHO even enter again?

Halfords do interlocking inch thick foam/rubbers tiles at ยฃ10 for 6 which are pretty good and cheap!

Hi mouse, are you referring to aluminium polishing? If so my first LC hybrid has a polished arm. Itโs a much easier shape to polish than the converted 3TJ arm Iโm using. So, my 4LO was first registered November 1982. I thought, that it now being 2023 that made it over 40 years old and i could just go to the post office and register it as a historic vehicle (wrongly as it transpired). Well, five post offices later, the last one points out that it has to have been first registered before February 1982! I double checked this by phoning the DVLA who, confirmed that in April 2024 i can then register it as a historic vehicle. However i will have to tax it in February 2024 (as that is when it is due) and after registering for historic vehicle tax i can claim back my tax cost! DVLA told me that all post offices are aware of and know all about this, er no they don't! Suffice to say, this is not as simple as i thought, because when i go to register as a historic vehicle my bike will be 41 1/2 years old! Mouse I'd say that's wrong Wait till middle of April and try again A November 82 bike should be excempt from April 23 She has the Feb bit right as a bike reg'd in Jan 82 is the next April 82 Nov 82 is April 23 DVLA are the same as post offices, it depends who you speak to I've had v55 applications refused and sent them straight back with a note but no other documents and they were approved Steve Success! Steve you were spot on! Today i went to the PO and they have sent off my log book, so thanks very much for your sage advice, no more tax for one bike, another two to do next year! Many thanks Mouse

Cheers Mouse, are the sprag clutches easy enough to do? Andy. It was a while ago! But i did it myself, so yes not too difficult. Just be careful with the oil sight glass as i'm sure you have to remove it and they can be fairly brittle. Also the bodywork was quite delicate along with the threads on all the bolts which seemed to 'cross' with very little provocation! Oh and 'flakey' paint on the wheels! But i did use mine all year round for commuting duties. However given all that, they are such fun bikes, good for about 105/110, try different front sprockets, rears in different sizes are very hard to find, i think they are 'offset'. Despite it looking like an off-road bike, the handling is fantastic, like a sportsbike, the brakes were also superb! I miss mine. Mouse

Cheers Guys, Yeah Bob Wright are still going, and guess what, the sprag clutch is noisy so i'll do that too, it's had 3 in the past! It was the one on E-Bay, couldn't resist at the price it was. Andy. I went through two sprag clutch's on mine in the 4 or 5 years i had it. It would make a really loud 'crack' and wouldn't fire when you tried to start it and it got harder and harder to start, not great when i was using it everyday! Had it not been for that i would probably still have it. Also i had a 'Gazelle' (not sure if they are still going) stainless silencer, which saved the painted steel standard one. I replaced it in '99 with a new Fazer 600, which did 92000. miles! Mouse
