Not much to report on this. Been cutting up the frame to make more room.
4 cuts done so far. 2 below the headstock, 2 above the rear engine mount. Got 2 more to cut at the footpeg mounts. I'll do a pic when it's cut.
Hopefully I'll be left with the engine in a cradle which will be easier to move
I'm losing the plot with Nova over the gears
Ordered end of Nov, said it would be 3 weeks as they were short of 1 gear which was being made
Called back before Crimbo. "The gear is made, it's away being heat treated so will be early Jan"
Called in Jan. "It's been heat treated, it's away getting bushes now" ๐
Got fed up today and chased it up again
"Think we have it all in stock, I'll check"
You were supposed to call me ๐
"We are short of 1 gear"
That's what you said in November when I ordered โน
Then it was getting heat treated, then it was...๐
"Oh right, it may be here or it could be away for finishing, I'll call you back" ๐ก

I've gave up on NOVA now ๐ก
Just bought a modified GS750 gearbox. No massive 1st to second jump and better ratios
Also the added bonus of the output shaft being longer so will help with chain alignment

After meeting one of their management at the Gedinne Classic TT, they couldn't do enough for me and got very prompt service.

That's exactly it, they don't seem interested in the business Its just the same excuses every time I call. It's been weeks now since they took my number (which lets face it they should already have had as I bloody gave them it when I ordered) and they can't even make a call ๐ Steve

Spoke to BDK yesterday morning
Porting, inlet tipping and head all done
I told them to go ahead and rebore it as to quote them "they're a bit sloppy" so that was getting done in the afternoon
All that's left to do is o ringing the block
They were waiting for another couple to be ready so the cnc machine could be set up and them all done at once so hopefully not long.
Paid the deposit for the billet yokes today so hopefully get them in 10 weeks ๐

Cheers guys
Yes it's been a bit spendy ๐ฌ
There's ยฃ3.5k there and that's without the billet yokes, the Maxton fork cartridges and Maxton rear shocks that will go on the final build ๐ญ
No deep pockets, just a long time building ๐

Only problem I had was the swing arm spindle
I had it plated and it would not go through the arm
Turns out it was the 2 bearing sleeves it was sticking on
Sorted it by putting the spindle in a drill and spinning while running course sandpaper on it then green scotchbrite
Fitted after that ๐

To be honest Matt I'm fed up moving bits of it around. Thought if it was a rolling chassis it would at least be easier
I'm recommisioning the 385 so the TR will sit where it has been
Then after I've got the cutting/grinding and welding sorted on the LC in the garage I'll move the 385 into the garage for the summer and the LC can go in the workshop

Mouse My plan is to fit Renthals so will look like a street fightered TR If it doesn't look right I'll drop the forks through the yokes and fit clip ons above the yoke Really need to get the bottom end stripped to mock up the engine and get the pipes welded up Steve

Still not much to tell โน
360mm shocks arrived yesterday (cheapo crappo) to see how it sits
Billet guy called saying he was ready to do my yokes so posted the cast ones down for him to get measurements off
Still no word from BDK. Called them through the week and was told the guy that does the TR stuff has been off sick for a couple of days so he'll phone me when he's back.
Won't hold my breath ๐
