Good to see this moving again Steve. Knowing you things will step up a gear when the motor returns. Going back over the thread it is looking great so far. I have 2 projects sitting gathering dust as no time to do anything to them. Finger out time I think 🤔 John.

Hopefully so. Once I get the top end back it may motivate me to strip the bottom end to mock up the engine for the pipes to get fitted
Billet guy messaged me some questions around ignition switch and stem early this morning so take it he was doing the CAD drawing
Know what you mean about time. A mate dropped off a mig welder for me to play with 2 weeks ago and not had a shot yet ☹

Just read through the whole thread for the first time and loved all of it Steve. The plate to get the barrels off without damaging anything is wonderful. Rolling chassis looks great too

Cannot wait to see this finished, rolling chassis looks terrific, any thoughts on colour scheme yet? Mouse Thanks I'm undecided on colour. At first I thought either the blue/white or black with the yellow and red from the Suzuki race colours but now wondering whether to either keep it simple with a single colour or even God forbid leave the tank alloy Too many other things to work out first lol. Last night was carbs, inlet rubbers and filters 🤯 Steve

That looks awesome 👍 Couple of questions for you then What rear shocks did you use and where did the radiator come from spring to mind 😀 And what is the section at the front of the tank used for? Anybody I've asked just said it's a baffled breather. I'm wondering whether I can get the coolant expansion tank or even a 2 stroke tank in there 🤔 Steve

The radiator was purchased from eBay as I recall that had dimensions the worked and I had a very good tame TIG welder who fitted stubs etc in the correct place. The rear suspension was from Davies motor sport the classic Honda people, the can make supply them in various lengths. Yes the raised tank section is a baffled.I used a modified alloy expansion tank which was another eBay purchase.

Looking awesome Steve Why not get a bespoke oil tank made ? Garry at Metmachex could knock something up easily if you did a CAD template (shreddies box is best !!) Or I have the details for a fella in Wales that did a nice one for me on a previous project. Doesn't need to be a big tank for autolube. Dusty

Dusty Cheers Dusty 😀 I've a few ideas floating around about the oil tank. A lot depends on whether I decide to ditch the starter motor as not having a massive battery would allow the oil and exp tanks to live in the seat hump Got to decide on whether to use the new looms I have or go motogadget 🤔 A long way and a lot of decisions to go Steve

No cosmetic tart up either, proper 12 microns 😁 Steve Ooo that's a lot Yes, I'm maybe going to have to scotchbrite the lower bearing section Also didn't realise the process was so aggressive The 2 spacers had stainless threaded rod threadlocked into it I thought as they were stainless they would be ok WRONG The protruding section is gone now 😮 Steve

I would be tempted to warm the bearing up to 90 deg and see if it fits on easy before i start with the scotchbrite.
