Fantastic job Alex. Cannot deny we are very lucky to have so many skilled engineers and fabricators on here willing to help out with others projects either through physical assistance of sharing ideas. Chris is a superb engineer Roller looks brilliant and looking forward to this now growing over the winter

Looks lovely Alex, great job. If Steve doesn’t have a tap, I’ve got one. Andy.

Thanks for all the fuel tap offers! If Dusty can't find his I shall be in touch. Hoping tomorrow to get the tank on and work out were the bump stops need to go, and perhaps see if the clocks I have (Aprilia) will fit into an LC casing. At least I can do that on the sofa in the warmth!

Hi mate. No actual work done but plenty to come. The yokes will be sent off after xmas to get some tweaks and then the entire front end is off for a severe polishing session. At the same time the frame will go for yet another powder coat and then it's time to start my fave bit...building her all back up!

Cheers Chris. I think this is the 'get the bugger done' time. But I would have never even reached this stage without the help from yourself and a host of other forum members.

The purple popsicle is still in the workshop and looking rather good despite not being touched for yonks. I was so close to starting her up but she had such a weak spark I got a little disheartened by it all. However...she's not forgotten!

Great news Alex, and the parts look great I may have a spare top hose mounting (where a thermostat would fit) if you haven't got one. Let me know if you need one and I will check Dusty

Cheers Dusty! I think I have one. Somewhere. Tomorrow I'm going to start (not finish) a huge workshop rethink. I need enough space to have all my tools and bike parts up front and move all the furniture further back. At least then I'll know what I actually have!

Yes, I noticed that too. Cleared enough space for access to all the bikes, spares and tools. Found stuff I had completely forgotten about too! And the popsicle!! Alex

It's only been four months since my last post here so I must be really shifting along now... The LC is stripped back down. The yokes and clock bracket are being sent of to 'you know who' for some tweaking. Moving the lock stops and getting the bracket to fit (somehow) onto the top yoke. Frame will go to get powder coated, as will the wheels but they'll be done later on. I want to get the forks anodised and discovered a place in Hayes, so local, that does this stuff, and I'll give them a tinkle about it. The next phase is getting all the remaining antiques out of my home and into the workshop. Seems they're not worth quite what I thought and I need to think about what to do with them. Plus it's bugging the hell out of me that I can't get some furniture that I actually like in here! So when all that's done the LC comes inside to be spannered on in the warmth and comfort of my lounge! Alex

Sounds like a plan is coming together mate. Get more than one valuation on your antiques, as values vary between assessors. Auction will find the value😉 I will happily give you a hand to shift it out of your upstairs, and get the Lc in😉 Regards anodising, there is also Jacksons in Hounslow, so a bit nearer😉

Hounslow? That's great to know. Jacksons never appeared on my Google search but I'll check them out. And thanks Dusty for your help, it's most appreciated!

Hi Alex, if the place you mention in Hayes is just off the Uxbridge road, I've used them a few times. They are very good. I've used Jacksons as well. They're good, but more expensive than Hayes, and it's really difficult to park in that area of Hounslow. HTH, Mark

Thanks Mark. I did notice the Hayes one has a 5 star rating too.
Forgot to mention Dusty, I'll be calling Jamie tomorrow and hope to drop off the frame to him then.

So the yokes have been sent off and today I dropped the frame at Jamie's. A really nice chap, multi talented too and the price he quoted me is cheaper than the last time this frame got powder coated! Plus I know he'll do a first rate job. I saw some of his other work too and I'm contemplating some cerakote for the engine...and that's pretty cheap too.
