It's bloody amazing Chris. And, seeing you have a full time job plus your bikes to work on it's been a really quick job too. The only issue I have is what colour to paint it lol. Mito arms were a gloss dark grey, but I also like the idea of this chrome powder coat...decisions, decisions. So yes, I am very very happy!
Alex
ps I think your business (when it starts) should be called LC Racing. L can be anything but clearly the C is for Chris!

Awesome work, as always Chris That has been a difficult arm to modify and you have done a brilliant job - it looks better than factory ! I think you may be getting very busy in your spare time Got your nice new shiny shock here Alex, when you are passing Dusty

Chris...I don't know what to say anymore. It's just bloody amazing. But I too can't wait to have a trial fit. I know it'll work as we've all seen the video!
And thanks Dusty for picking up the shock from Dave's. It got even better hearing the pipes at 8000rpm! I'll text you and we can organise a good time for you so I can pick it up. Zandra couldn't believe the price of ONE shock, until she learned it only needs one lol.
So exciting times ahead. Test fit of everything then I need to get the frame blasted...again. And following advice I will get it powder coated...again. Except this time I'll use someone else to do it. Then the whole lot comes into the house where I can work on her in warmth!

The swing arm arrived this morning! So early that it wasn't until after work that I unwrapped it. Holy shit, it's a work of art. Was in two minds whether to hang it on the wall or the bike...so a massive thank you to Chris for all his help, without him this project would really be on the back foot, again!
Working this weekend too but Monday I hope to have a quick test fit before the frame goes off to be blasted/painted or powder coated. Pics to come!

Cheers Chris! Finally managed to get over to Dusty's today (great to see you again mate) to pick up the YSS shock he collected for me from Mutts Nuts. Big thanks to Dave there for getting me one, and it's a superb looking bit of kit. Sure there are others out there but for way more money. But this one is very adjustable and for the price it's a no-brainer really. I can see now why so many of us use these shocks. And you get a bag with the little tools to tweak it with. Very impressed. Zandra still insists the old one would have been fine... Alex

Damn! That's some nice fab work. I'm trying to graft an r125 swinger into my 125lc, I've chopped a chunk out of the mounting point for the r125 so that the 125lc engine mount can slip in, after seeing you pics with the spacers etc, I reckon I'm going to have issues with it binding up once it's all tightened up. Back to the drawing board!

Sorry everyone I'm a day late with this but here we go... So I have this stunning swinger and the YSS shock... I decided to save the new shock for later in case I drop it or something worse, so the 40 year old LC one will do for now, and (dah dah!) a rolling chassis! I had a typical Alex (read blonde) moment when the swingarm wobbled about but I realised I had the wrong swing arm spindle in. DOH! Quickly cured with the correct one supplied by Dusty (ta matey!). So there we have it. After years of being held up by a lump of wood I now have what looks like an LC. Sort of! The stance is bang on and I know I keep saying this but a huge thanks to Chris. Next up is get the tank on and work out where the bump stops need to go. Then cart the frame and swinger off to be powder coated. I've decided to go for the Mito dark grey on the arm, I like the look. Frame will be black. Then it's just a case of nailing her back together. Of course they'll be niggly bits I need to get. A fuel tap is one. Bearings. That kind of thing. I think the fuel tank is salvageable and if so I'm hoping Mark Cordwell can slap some paint on it (white with two tone blue stripes as that was the same colour as my first ever LC). I think she's going to be quite a looker! Alex
