hi all , been a member on here for years now and mostly read your posts great advice always given, i've owned a lc with a pv fitted for about 10+ years now and it started looking a bit sad so 6 years ago i stripped it and yes you guessed it they're it stayed in bits for years i tried a few times but always gave up as was always too busy, a few years ago i did get some bits painted and put back together. Wheels and engine went back in but got stuck with an electrical problem and you guessed it, put cover back on and left for another year! This year I came across a bike mechanic who was out of work, he offered to take on the bike, get it sorted and back on the road for the summer. I left him with £150 to get him going and left him to it. I did not hassle him for a month or so, only to see him and the bike in worse state than what I left it, bits all over the floor and even using my own PJ1 paint on another job Me being me, I told him I wanted it back ASAP and left him with it another month, only to be told by a mate that hes done fook all on it and best too get it back so i did straight away ,so i,m back to this stage again bike still in bits he fooked up the old loom(said he was going to make his own ) PRICK lost the cdi i,ve got a new loom and cdi so where would you lads go from here? the bikes in worst state now than ever ?? please help lads as i dont want to sell it for bits but i,m well fooked off with the whole thing at the mo ,thanks pete i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee253/petespeed/P1000914.jpgi228.photobucket.com/albums/ee253/petespeed/P1000916.jpgheres what i ride weekends with my mates !!!! off road!! i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee253/petespeed/P1000917.jpg

risky business steve, ive been stung with a few engines and a gearbox in my time, every time i said to my self never again, idealy its nice to see and hear the engine in smashed uo van in a breakers yard atleast that way you also get a indication of how many miles its ATCUALY done. have you looked into how much a new short engine is at ford? hi steve twostrokerS spot on the money with this one this is the way i go about it 1,take no ones word on it been a good runner if it cant be seen running walkaway when your told that even though the vans are diffrent the engines still fit( BE VERY CAREFULL WITH THIS ONE AS MOST BREAKERS WILL BULLSHIT YOU TO MAKE A SALE THEY DONT GIVE FIVE FOOKS! i would get the same engine out of the same van that you have or unless you have a good mate that works for fords to give you the thumbs up it fits i had 5 transits and been there too many times with your problem also beware that if you start mixing diffrent bits together it can be real costly fix i,ve sold the van on the bay before and brought another i know this seems costly but so putting engines in and out ,hope this helps and you get sorted mate

if the ignition is unplugged i would plug it in and turn it on. the righthand switch gear has got a kill switch on it(sorry for stating the obvious m8) which will stop and start the spark on the bike so i would deffo try that m8 ok mate i,ll give that a go 2morrow night ,started doing a bit 2night but started losing me rag with the f@@king thing just to get it running would be great put in a load of time into it lately and seem to be going backwards ,thanks for your help mate i let you know how it goes

i've tried mine without a battery on and the spark was better wiv the battery on m8. is all the wiring from cdi connected all seperatly,by that i mean without the proper connector blocks,if so it should just be a case of matching the colours. is ur ignition working ok,do ur lights, indi's and idiot lights work, only other thing i can think of is the kill switch, have u got a spare righthand switch gear u can try,or find the 2 wires and just loop em to try it. scott all my cdi leads have plugs on and thats all i have connected up ,not got no swicths lights indcators on its more or less a rolling frame at the mo,all was fine a few months ago , norbs has a cdi i could try ,dont know what else to try lads
