i've tried mine without a battery on and the spark was better wiv the battery on m8. is all the wiring from cdi connected all seperatly,by that i mean without the proper connector blocks,if so it should just be a case of matching the colours. is ur ignition working ok,do ur lights, indi's and idiot lights work, only other thing i can think of is the kill switch, have u got a spare righthand switch gear u can try,or find the 2 wires and just loop em to try it.

if the ignition is unplugged i would plug it in and turn it on. the righthand switch gear has got a kill switch on it(sorry for stating the obvious m8) which will stop and start the spark on the bike so i would deffo try that m8
