After months and months of deliberating wether or not to swap my trusty old Fazer 1000, i have finally bitten the bullet and done it. I will be collecting an R1 next saturday. It is finished in red & white, which will match both my LC and my helmet.................. The deals that are being offered at the moment proved just too good to resist. Together with Yamaha's 0% finance deal, it worked out cheaper than selling my bike privately and buying another privately, and the R1 is a new 'un!! Happy days for my missus too - she is well p*ss*d off with me going on about changing so is glad of the peace. Will post some pics when it comes home. hey me too billbott not getting rid of my fazer 1000 tho as i,m getting back into greenlaning/ enduro with me mates looking at buying a ktm 250 !!the roads are now covered in crap and its dark now at 430

Couldn`t be without mine, no bending or crouching. You can raise to assist in lifting out the engine without breaking your back. Always buy one with a built in hydraulic pump and a lock off mechanism to ensure it stays up. Best with an adjustable front wheel clamp and tie down holes to strap it on. I have one with a removable plate at the rear which is a real bonus when working on rear wheel. Ensure it has castors to move it around and foot clamps to secure it position. Once you have got all that then I suppose the only choice is colour ? cheers mate been looking on ebay but missed out on one today it had hydraulic pump but no wheels any idea what make @ model as got a fazer 1000 as well in bits that i work on as you say its not good for the knees or back ,and get crap in yer tea ;D

Hi chaps, still here despite a distinct lack of posts recently, got so fed up with the LC i moved on to the Spondon for a while, the LC still intermittantly fires on the left pot and goes just like a CG125 its a right pleasure to ride, kina torn all my hair out on this one now, what a simple thing a little 2 stroke is, untill its this bloody one lol. hi lads i,m real fed up with my lc as well took too bits over five years ago and now paying the price for it was nice then but turns out its a real dog so i,ve started again and still no way near finished the list never stops and neither does the time spent on the fooking thing ,left it scraped in the garage now summer and play on fazer 1000 . will try and sort it this winter if can be bothered . Pete, they are a carb kit that has all the needles and jets and gaskets to replace the old worn out parts in your 25 year old carbs. they are made using modern CNC machines ,when they are in your bike ,its like having new carbs. well thats what the bloke who sold them to me said anyway i have never used them before ,but the bloke who sold me the bike said the bike would benefit from having them fitted ....... steve ta for the info steve learn something new about lc,s everyday on this site mate ;D
