The big places still have to pay you even if the houses they are building do not sell so they may as well not finish the homes as the more money the put in to it is all a loss if they cant sell them . I am seeing it all over. Its the same in the notts area, half finished homes on small site's all over .

Our business is suffering a bit as we are in the leisure side of things and people dont have the spare cash like they did last year what with petrol prices etc, the work problems im reading here are typical everywhere at the mo, hopefully stuff will pick up sooner rather than later.

velux windows are easy to fit with or with out scaffold. if your fitting to a flat roof you'll need a diffenent fitting kit as you need to maintain min 15 degree angle on them.

booming here with work in hull with projects, and flood damages still over 2,000 homes to start on so i was informed. my youngest son is an app joiner, his mate travels to Hull from Littleborough all the time to repair council houses, they will be busy for a while.my eldest son is a plumber,he had to travel to Hemel Hempstead for a weeks work last week . i am busy making quality street and walnut whipps for now,we cant get enough staff to pack boxes.min wage + 50p hour extra for night shift all the students have gone back to college and a lot of the Polish have bogged off also. steve

unfortuantly most people i speak to about the lack of work in the motor trade are saying its still getting worse, ive seen a few car sales men laid off,a few garages close recently,im on price work so its affected me badly as there simply isnt enough work to earn decent money any more, generly the motor trade dies down towards xmas every year so god knows how quiet it will be this year,i expect there will be many people made redundant. my brother is a general labourer in the building trade and he says its not looking good either.
