i fit a locking plates on your nuts there It’s all good🙂, they are thread locked on as are the disc bolts I prefer the look with out the locking tabs There needs to be a full nut(really should be at least flush ideally one thread through the nut) use nyloc or metalock nuts

Im with RH there’s something dodgy about them ,i asked for my documents in hard copy as their app stopped working, they never came i emailed four times asking again no reply so I phoned after half an hour on hold the lady said oh we’ve seen your email ,i asked can i get my documents and was told we don’t send our documents by first or second class post! So i ask how do you send them ,no answer ,eventually she said we only post every ten days i asked why? No answer then was told my request came on the 18/3/21 so it will be ten days after that ,guess what no docs yet and no answer to my emails

The theory is you can only drive one at a time ive got 5000 miles between them so its really one policy as long as the other is locked in a garage ,it used to be £180 but went up so i moved now they have put it up. Time to revalue and shop around i think

The reason I posted was because I wanted to up the values again but for some reason the last time i did this the price jumped its now £368 for 2 bikes value £6000 and £16000 i think this is steep for a clean licence with no accidents

Is it worth paying the extra for fixed valuation insurance now ? My lc is valued at £6500 with all the goodies fitted i put it up to £6500 a couple of years ago but it put the price up by a third I changed insurers because of this ,now it seems its under insured going by today’s prices .what do you think market value is nowadays?

On the fowlers drawing there is the securing bolt for the caliper or a pin for the pads,I wouldnt use just any old bolts on brakes I would get the correct ones to be on the safe side

Different world is right. I rode a hired DT175 in Corfu dressed like that, in 1988. Got terribly sun burnt that day as riding along I couldn't feel the true power of the Sun, silly me. The bike was maintained terribly, bent nail for the clutch lever pivot. I also had to lube the chain with that "brown oil factor 2 stuff" because it was bone dry. Happy days. I did the same in Kos, how can your head get sunburned when you have hair! it was as dt250 ypvs someone tried to steal it luckily they couldn’t break the steering lock as it was third party insurance 😬
