If you want my opinion, and I’m sure others mite disagree, I’d say about £700 give or take?
It’s never going to be a U.K. matching number bike which command the big bucks. If it had the V5 then maybe more or sell quicker?
Fact is someone’s going to have to dig deep with todays parts prices and then get it MOTed. I don’t know how funny they are/will be with a non standard bike issuing a V5 so even more doubts.
Unless someone has all the parts and wants a standard build I wouldn’t say more.
Just my opinion of what I’d pay.

Or speak to Andy spondon440 he makes bespoke yokes that you will not find better anywhere else. That way you can chose which forks. veg he used to, but I think he is too busy. I asked him a little while back for some 43mm ones and sadly he was too busy at the time. I agree though they are nice. I suppose I should be great full I got a bespoke set of his for my LC. Jon

I seem to remember dusty350 using some RGV125 fun forks? From memory there was a problem getting a second caliper to fit? Are RGV forks 50mm diameter? I believe 3XV forks are also. Same trouble finding some at a decent price though. Jon

To clarify what Dusty said, should be yellow id on a 350 pump and red on a 250. As shown in this link by Arrow (the go to guy for these pumps). rdlccrazy.proboards.com/post/474173Jon

You’ll probably get lots of different takes on this, ranging from someone that says don’t go above 5000 RPM for the first 500 miles to someone that says it’s unnecessary.
I’m somewhere in between. If it’s been rebored properly with the correct clearance and good oil and cooling system it’s some way there.
I usually start the process by doing a few heat cycles. Starting it up and running for a few minutes before letting it cool down. After about 3, re-torque the head.
Next go for a short ride of maybe 5-10 miles and then cool down and re-torque if needed.
For the first 100 miles don’t go above 5000 RPM and don’t labour the engine too much (uphill for instance).
For the next few hundred miles go into the power and, but not full revs every now and again. Increase the frequency and duration as you put more miles in.
Most important have mechanical sympathy and ‘feel’ how the engine is responding.
Some say use a cheap mineral oil to run in to bed the rings in.

What a beautifully detailed bike. Lovely paint (not to my taste, but beautifully done). Titanium nitride legs, radial calipers, and clearly a boat load of cash spent etc. But mismatched wheels? A big no no from me. Jon

Can you be sure that those carbs are not copies?
Non standard overflow pipes, different fixings and no QC marks?
Have they got a Sudco or Sudcoo sticker on them?

I don’t really like Scott’s. It’s the tanks. They are either canister like and totally look like an afterthought.
It’s either that or more conventional tanks that look like they are bolted on too low.

As above, I hope your VIN number is ok So many reframed or cloned bikes around from back in the day Also wouldn't be the first time someone buys a project in boxes and there is a reg plate in the box that doesn't belong to the bike Steve I bought a lambretta frame once, where DVLA wanted to inspect it. At the time DVLA had local offices, so a woman arranged to come round my house and inspect it. It had been after sent the logbook off. Someone had found an old number plate and sent off for the logbook before me. Jon

I had this same symptom once. The jetting was fine, it was just they needed balancing better.
I guess one cylinder wanted to pick up and the other was at that throttle opening not responding.

No mine has early cylinders, but I really don’t think jetting would change between the 2. Sure the main jet on early and late carbs is different but so are the carb bodies.

I went up 2 sizes to 27.5 on my 31k carbs on an LC 350. 230 mains as well from memory. Standard apart from Allspeeds (which I don’t think need jetting changing?).

I do get people wanting a faithful U.K. matching numbers, RD350LC in the correct colour for the year with all green bolts and matching keys, but it’s not for me or indeed many others. I appreciate them when I see them, but I’d hate to have to build my bike to a set of rules just for it to be ‘right’.
I remember back in the day a skinhead being ribbed for not having the ‘correct’ height of turnups on his jeans. How sad?
Even thought my current LC is a TZR hybrid, I still didn’t even want the paint to be ‘correct’. I love the candy blue LC’s, but mine is darker (Rover trophy blue) and has three different silver stripes instead of a white one,
I also remember being in a tent on a scooter run with my scooter outside, when someone said they remembered it from way back, but the red speedblocks had faded to a pink/mauve. What an idiot, I had only painted it on a variation of a DTC paintwork a few years before.
I guess what I’m trying to say is why not have exactly what you want rather then being tied to a set of rules?

My reg number equates to the smallest legal plate being 194mm wide by 164mm high I think?
That works out around 7.5” by 6.5”.

Generally I think if you don’t take the piss size wise you’ll be ok. The problem is it’ll only ever be yellow back rats that do you for a small plate. They use it as a pretext for pulling you. The doing further checks, always used to find the dicks with tiny plates usually had loads more going on it just draws attention to you. Loud pipe fine, tiny plate what you hiding? I’d rather find out the smallest legal size for my reg numbers than chance a medium sized plate. I remember a sticker on the cover of a performance bikes magazine that read ‘loud pipes save lives’. How true Jon

I’ve read through those threads (and others) but they are all on about physical plate size. I’m sure it’s to do with character size and spacing and borders that determine the overall size. Jon

I’m sure number plate size was discussed on here in the past, and the smallest legal size not being a fixed dimension as such, but being the character size and spacing.
I’ve search for it but cannot find it.
Was a company mentioned?
I have a severn digit plate with two 1’s in the 4 digit plate, so could get away with a small legal plate.

Thats the issue with the eccentric adjusters. Each time you adjust the chain tension it affects ride height. Plus the eccentrics aren't as accurate as you would think, even on a new arm. I only get the slot adjusters now if buying new. I have removed a chain link in the past to keep the spindle where I want it. Not sure the chain would contact the guard normally though ? I wonder if the guard dimensions are different on your metal version? Dusty at first i thought it as pretty cool. i have been thinking what if i change the front sprocket to a 18 and then go down on the back 3 teeth to make the ratio the same. Isn’t standard gearing on an RD350LC 16 tooth front and 39 tooth rear? Going to an 18 tooth front and 36 tooth rear is not going to make the ratio the same, it’s going to make it much higher. Jon

OK not a classic two stroke sighting, but. Surprise 2 stroke sighting.
I saw an Rieju RS3 50cc in Asda car park the other day. Heard the unmistakeable two stroke noise as it passed me. What I thought was odd is it was a 63 plate.
Had a nose at it as it had parked up by the time I got parked.
Thought only exotic two strokes were made these days. I guess only being a 50cc they can meet emissions laws?
Sounds like Yamaha have a hand in the engine too?

What about a pole thread on here to show how much interest/ market there would be for these?
Sell them on a deposit basis of £100 until enough interest to make it viable, just so you know you have genuine interest?

muttsnuts I think a partnership is needed. I expect that’s what happened with the pattern LC tanks as they are sold through multiple outlets? Perhaps Norbo would also be interested? Jon
