I applaud these front end designs. But I often wonder why they do it? If they were better than conventional forks then wouldn't the big four be using them on every bike? Likewise GP bikes. Surely there, cost is irrelevant yet they stick to a standard USD design. Maybe they think punters would be put off by some outlandish design...they watch the telly and the bikes they see are pretty much like a bike they might own. I don't know the answer but I'd love to ride that bike, if only for comparison with a stock set up.

The bottle holder is a nice touch. Handy if you get a bit thirsty.

That is a very good idea...though a KH wouldn't dent a Scandinavian tank. I found that out aged 17 lol.

Glad to be of help Iain. Small dents are fine with filler. Whopping great ones that will restrict the exhaust requires dent removal and that ain't easy.

I'll answer that if Peter doesn't mind. Car filler. I use Isopon stuff. And if you want a lasting paint effect, use BBQ spray, that take a while to cure and leaves a matt finish. To get the satin look spray over that with high heat lacquer. Done it loads of times and looks like new when finished.

Rained here again today. Footwells in Lora were soaked and I'm eagerly awaiting my garage becoming a garage again. Like you I binged all the Bond films, I have them on DVD. Last one is a real let down. Still laying new flooring, just the bedroom to do now. Building Elsie in the living room. And why not? Bought my fist ever 'big' telly (32") as my old one decided the HDMI port should cease functioning. Lasted 15 years so not too bad and is now a dedicated wii screen. CD player on my stack system packed up but thankfully a good used one on eBay was only £30...my late mum bought me that and I was so relieved I could save it. Still need to strip the wallpaper going down the stairwell. Not looking forward to that. And now have some worked lined up in a couple of weeks so I'd like to get everything finished before then.

ps for some odd reason I think a pinball machine would look great in here

Sadly it was so restricted push bikes were faster. Though someone on here had a much, much faster version!

They go underneath? Yes, they'll fit but it makes me wonder why there are rubber grommets top and bottom. Got a pic of some fitted Jon?
Alex
ps once again, this is new to me. Previous LCs have all had the clocks fitted!

Rob, is that the 125 2 stroke that was a Euro bike only? ie 33bhp. Regardless I think it's a stunner.

That's incredible. So simple but a perfect design. And I bet that could easily be modified to fit any stem you care to mention.

I know I repeat myself here...but he's good isn't he? Al, that looks amazing mate. Few bits done today. Clocks for one. Had a bugger of a time trying to get the mounting bracket to fit properly (never done this before) but finally sussed it. Then the muddie with my Audi grill clips made by you-know-who. Alex

Bit of a footnote. Steve the engineer popped over to get paid and I could tell he was so relieved to see that his work actually did what it said on the tin so to speak. No doubt I'll be using his unique talents further down the line.
Then we have the tale of Steve #2. The antique dealer. Another mate of Dusty's and he popped over the other day to inspect the jam packed garage full of ancient craporama. His brother was in tow and they have had a place in Kingston selling antiques for years. Both lovely chaps, lots of oohs and aahs as they inspected the various bits and pieces, and announced that whilst some of the stuff is worth moolah, some isn't. However they'll take the LOT (yay), sell what they can and pay me accordingly, and what can't be sold will be donated to the Princess Alice Trust. Good. Means I get a bit of cash, the charity does too, and I get my garage back again.
So that means Lora can get out of the rain and even with her parked up I can get about six bikes in there. So the Popsicle and the LC will have ample room. Even a GSXR too...
This should happen next week. And then a massive clear up ensues. There are bike parts, tools, nuts and bolts and a whole load of crap strewn everywhere. Expect to see a few bits on the 'for sale' section, and as usual, some freebies.
