Also a design that bolts on without having to remove the top yoke would be an added bonus!

If you can fabricate some Al, put me down on the list! I'll happily buy a set off you. I've just checked the widths and you are bang on, no wonder I was getting different readings, never occurred to me that they'd vary so much! Wonder why they did that?

Great! Thanks Andy.
Al, the brackets will be mounted about midway between the yokes. I'll order some of Andy's ones and report back when they arrive.

Thanks everyone. I'm relieved along with Steve and I'm sitting here with a glass of something just staring at it. Al...good call. I checked and according to my verniers they are 53mm. Arses. So Andy's brilliant spot might not work but I will check to see if they have other sizes. And I checked...they do have a 53mm option! However I can't see how to select that size. Andy is there any way to do this? Chris, that yoke was hammered together by some bloke on here, can't remember who but it'll do Dusty the floor was a killer to do. But it's utterly fantastic. And oil resistant too! Alex

I was initially for having them all in one thread but I admit I was wrong. Separate threads makes more sense to me.
But maybe it's own section? No idea how easy that is to do, my computing skills are on a neanderthal level.

I don't think anyone will ever notice to be honest. And one issue I have with the new thread is the time it takes to appear as every page is very hi res. Maybe it's my manky PC?

STOP TAUNTING ME! There are 3 on eBay. 2 have been there since the dawn of mankind and 1 (about a mile from me) has been relisted for the third time. Every listing the description is different. From mint ride it away to no brakes bring a van. AAAARGH! Alex Go and see it... nothing to lose other than 30mins of your time Normally I would Jon. However it's an 1100, paintwork is stupid and the seller is clearly a liar in every respect. Bide/time I will. Alex

I did an LC tank once. Never again. It took ages to get it right, and I used the soapy water idea as applying them as they are seems like utter lunacy.

They do look odd Jon. Maybe it is a racer but it'll need to stop eventually. If it has just the rear brake what happens if that fails? Scary thing.
