Sat in the conservatory and all I can hear is rain pounding on the roof.
Appreciate its caused a lot of grief for many so other than storm Debbie costing about £1k in fencing that to be honest, looked nice but the posts were ready to snap, I'm lucky I'm not in a flooded area which must be a devastating and bewildering experience.
Seems to have been going on day after day, even if it's not raining, everywhere is wet. I'm kept busy but the times I would do things I like, I haven't been able to. I had a ride on the bike about 2 weeks ago, thought it might be the last of the year, looks like it will be 😟
I've watched most of the Bond films (the ones I like) in the evenings in preference to the high quality stuff turfed out now. Did that with a month's free Prime, had it previously but can't see the value at £9 or so a month right now. They want me back.
What are you doing in your free time?

It's actually not rained here yet today
I'd love to say bike building or mancave construction but 6 weeks after a house move I just seem to be fixing broken stuff around the house, trying to find places to stash all my stuff and cleaning up after window fitters and plasterers
Knocked down the old garden shed on Friday as a new one is coming next Tuesday so need to make a base frame for that
Mist coating new plaster Friday night and yesterday then today replaced the main fuse box in the house
Had to be done at some point as no RCD or enough spare fuses for garage fusebox, the eventual new workshop fusebox and power to the garden shed. Brought forward as getting an EV charger fitted and I ain't paying extra when they say they need to fit more equipment as the old fusebox is out of date
Anyway, need to clear up my sparky tools and get the paint roller back out☹️

Rained here again today. Footwells in Lora were soaked and I'm eagerly awaiting my garage becoming a garage again. Like you I binged all the Bond films, I have them on DVD. Last one is a real let down. Still laying new flooring, just the bedroom to do now. Building Elsie in the living room. And why not? Bought my fist ever 'big' telly (32") as my old one decided the HDMI port should cease functioning. Lasted 15 years so not too bad and is now a dedicated wii screen. CD player on my stack system packed up but thankfully a good used one on eBay was only £30...my late mum bought me that and I was so relieved I could save it. Still need to strip the wallpaper going down the stairwell. Not looking forward to that. And now have some worked lined up in a couple of weeks so I'd like to get everything finished before then.

ps for some odd reason I think a pinball machine would look great in here

Well it didn't rain today so I decided to attack the leaning conifer, it's (was) about 11 foot and pretty wide. Expected to take some outside branches off one side and all around the lower section in anticipation of someone helping to dig round and push it over. Well I pushed it, the roots moved up one side, kept rocking and it went. So I hacked through the remaining roots, sawed the two split trunks at the halfway point and left it for the day, didn't expect to get that far and ran out of time. But it's forecast for rain tomorrow morning so everything will be wet again. Probably go back when it's dried out. Nice to have achieved without two much agro. Luckily, two neighbours were not using their green bins so they all out tonight for collection, perfect timing. There's the greater portion left including the root and trunks.
