Should have listed it as a project looking at the state of it! Rust on frame, corrosion everywhere, no mirrors, decals missing off the fairing etc etc. Also don't remember genuine UK bikes having the extender on the front mudguard (you can just see the rivets)

Yep, 40:1 premix and pilots are standard think they are 38? 3MA bottom yoke and Fazer 600 top yoke, forks are also Fazer 600. All I did when I fitted the Ramairs was go up on the mains. It could probably do with a bit of a tweak as it drops into a flat spot between 5 and 6k in the higher gears but is great everywhere else.

Thanks guys! Not sure what jetting Wez has on the candy blue. On mine, I just went up on the mains. Pretty sure it has 150's in it (standard 135) but it's been ages since I had the carbs apart! It runs very safe, never had an issue and it's done a lot of hard miles like this.

Yeah, that sounds like it. What colour are the other wires going to the unit?

Use the YPVS signal wire and take a 12v and ground from the temperature gauge feed

Yes wheels look great on the black LC If I remember I know they took a lot of fiddling to fit ? Yes they did! We had to take quite a bit off the sprocket carrier to align the chain run, custom sleeves and spacers as the Aprilia runs 20mm id bearings and my spindles are 15mm rear and 17mm front. Also converted to electronic speedo as they don't have a speedo drive and that's just the bits I can remember!

Cheers Jon, they are Aprilia RS125 wheels with the front machined for a second disc and the rear flipped as the sprocket is usually on the right side.

Yep, as Stasky said the LED indicators don't draw enough current to make the standard relay work so you need a 2 pin electronic one to make it work. Also on the standard setup the single idiot light is connected across the left and right lives to the indicators and earths itself through the opposite side so that won't work either. You will need a couple of diodes in series from each indicator live and a dedicated earth from the idiot light.

Eeeek.. very tiny indeed. As Steve says, they should be bigger. no sense bolting on bars with 4 x M6 and then holding the lot with 2 x M5. Jon, they fit to the top yoke using 1 x M10 but the clamps bolt on using 2 x M5 which just seems way too small.

Yeah I know Steve, they use a single M10 to the yoke which is fine but M5 seems way too small for the clamps. I'm gonna email them, hopefully they will just refund.

Hi all, I recently bought some generic handlebar risers off Ebay for the LC as the Fazer ones are too swept back. They have just arrived but the 2 allen screws that hold the clamps to the risers (and the bars to the bike!) are only M5. This seems very under spec to me. Bear in mind most standard bikes use M8. Any thoughts? I am a little pissed off as these have taken about 6 weeks to come from China.
Cheers

Is the Gamma frame that much of an improvement over the LC? I could understand using an RGV chassis (if the motor would fit), but I'd have thought gains would be marginal with the Gamma. Feel free to shoot me down in flames... Yes, the RG frame is much better that the LC. It's alloy, loads stiffer and lighter. Better suspension and brakes too.

Hi, no you can use a blue spot caliper on either the stock disc or a larger disc. You will need a corresponding adapter plate due to the change in diameter so the caliper sits in the correct position over the disc. So, yes the adapter plate is different between stock and 320mm discs. If you go for a 320mm disc, you will also need a spacer to correct the shallower disc offset so the caliper doesn't foul the wheel.

Yep, we sampled some of them this morning! A21 up to Flimwell, turn right onto A268 down through Hawkhurst, Sandhurst and pick up the A28 to Tenterden. Turn right, down B2080 to Appledore then Military Road into Rye. Hoping to be out on the LC next weekend so should be in Rye sometime around 11/12pm

Not me but soon. Wouldn’t let mine out of my sight, like people walking backwards into your bike to get a better look at a Harley. Yeah there was a fair share of old duffers ogling over tractors. Where are you mate? I am in Hastings

Candy blue LC, Allspeeds and a really nice N1, retro JL pipes, clear clutch window etc. In Rye Strand car park earlier today. Lovely bikes fellas, would have been on my LC but I wasn't going to tax it and lose a month for the sake of 1 day! Sorry I didn't get a pic.

What I ended up doing on my LC was tapping the frame out to an M10 coarse thread and using standard pitch allen bolts with an M10 half nut on the back.

hi, as long as the main part of the bearing is seated inside the headstock it will be fine. I have never heard of a spacer, the top race always sits proud when you fit tapers to an LC or YPVS. There are fewer threads for the castle nut to go onto but it will be fine.

Fazer 600, TRX 850 are also 20mm and have a box section arm. Not sure how long though but the wheel hub is quite wide.

You will need the centre spacer between the bearings. As well as buying new bearings you will also need new seals.

Yes, flywheel spins anti clockwise as you look at it (from left side of bike)

Could be right about the sb just remember it was a cheaper version of the x5 Yep the X5 was sporty but the SB200 was a commuter. Drum brakes, single carb and only 4 speed if I remember.
