I will connect the indicators tomorrow but I wouldnt have thought that not having the front indicators on would stop the bike from starting. Although stranger things have happened at sea. ;D

It was modified before I had the bike, the wires must have been correct as the bike did run before the rebuild. ;D

Havent had much time to work on the bike as I have been working away. Changed all the fuses and the powervalves wurrs as normal. WOOHOO!!!!! No neutral light though, but the bike maybe in gear as I havent connected the gear lever yet. Just got to fill the radiator and fit the exhausts now. All this will be done Saturday morning and then I will kick it over and see if it runs. (fingers crossed again) ;D Thanks for all your help guys, will either be laughing and smiling or crying on Saturday, either way beer will be involved. ;D

Hiya
Got the radiator sorted and the exhausts on now. But I tested the electrics out and every time I press the horn its blowing the 5 amp fuse, also turning the lights on caused the same thing. I think I will have to clean the switchgear again.
Now on the petrol tank there are 2 connections but I only have one pipe from the carbs, and which way round should the pipe(s) go.
Cheers
Zeb
Will battle on tomorrow afternoon to see if I can get the bike to run.

The larger of the two connections is the fuel feed pipe and the other is the vacuum pipe that connects to the inner side of the right hand (non choke side) carburetor.
I will try and find a picture as I know theres one on the RD forum somewhere!

the larger pipe goes on the front stub of the tap and the smaller one goes from smaller rear stub on back end of tap to the inside of the right hand card onto a stub below the balance pipe between the two carbs. i got a pic sumwhere if u cant understand my typin m8

Thanks mate. Will have a look at this later.
What I did to overcome it was fit my 350R fuel tank (no vacum) but the fuel did not flow into the carbs. I take it this was because there was no pipe on the vacum.
I will transfer the fuel to the F2 tank and fit the pipe to the carb when I get home (im at work at the moment)

Im an estimator of facades. (I price up elevations of buildings basically) ;D Bad Bad News Im afraid.Spent 3 hours on the bike, connected the pipe from the carb to the vacum connection on the tank, got a fuel filter off norbo which p*ssed petrol everywhere so back to the old fuel filter. Put the tank on primed kicked it over several times and the fuel only went to the filter not into the carbs and now the kick start has siezed up or come out of place (Im hoping the latter). So Ive got to drain the bike of two stroke, engine oil, water / antifreeze to look at the kickstart. So thats gonna set me back a couple of weeks. Mellow (or anyone) do you have a diagram how the kick start should fit in the crankcases as the haynes is shite. How the mechanism should sit is what we want. To put it midly myself and rufarse are well p*ssed off.
