dude...............that sucks the kick start...............slides on the shaft.............i think the main thing is u must ensure that the loopy bit (page 57 of haynes manual item 2 in pic) is located correctly in the slot to the left of the kickstart shaft.also check the spring guide (item 6 page 57) is also located correctly. check its sat properly but dont touch kickstart once u done this till case is bolted on or else the kicker moves out along shaft n the clip thing moves out of the slot hope that helps m8

Another thing I noticed when I was kicking the bike over the powervalve kept making the wirring noise but didnt actually turn, does that mean the motor is on the way out. It works fine when turning the key.

the servo under the tank makes the whirring noise m8 if u got the side cover off left valve which shows the pulley bit and that dont turn when ignition is switched off id say one or both of ur cables aint on proper or they broke

Thanks mate will try this when Ive emptied the bike of oil / water etc. if its gonna keep coming apart mate, you dont need to have coolant or gearbox oil in it to check if it runs... ...just dont run it for long without the coolant,or ride it without the oil...

Me and Rufarse worked like Trojans and last night got the kickstart back in position, refilled with oil and water / antifreeze. (Pablo I wont run the bike without oil / water etc after paying £400 for new crank, pistons and barrels, thanks for the tip though) Kicked the bike over and after the 5th kick IT STARTED. Woooooooohoooooooo. I held the oil pump open and the lines that feed the carb only half filled, the oil didnt get to the carbs. Now I havent got the airbox hoses the bit that sits between the airbox and the back of the carb connected up (because I thought I would need to balance the carbs again) could this be the reason that oil is not getting to the carbs? I will connect them up at the weekend. Im jut after ideas why the oil wasnt getting to the carbs. Had a liitle issue with antifreeze leaking from one of the pipes but I sorted that I think. (I will look at it in detail next week) At the moment its the cleanest running two stroke about. ;D But obviously I will have to get the oil sorted as soon as possible to get the bike running tickety boo. We are mega pleased its running. When it fired up I nearly sh*t myself, I just wasnt expecting it to start. ;D Didnt ring you mellow as it was getting late last night when we did it. Will video the bike running next week. (Im off work all week and I can tinker with the bike to my hearts content.) ;D

Put a pipe on your oil feed and see if you can blow air through. My LC got summat stuck in the oil jet and siezed the bugger solid on the right hand pot. turned out to be a bit of hylomar and took a shedload of pressure to shift it.

This is the bike at the moment. Tomorrow Im going to look at the oil pipes to see if I can get that sorted. This is a close up of where the 2 stroke oil is getting to but doesnt seem to want go up to the carbs.

2 Stroke is now running to the carbs. Ive got that problem sorted. The bike was difficult to start but one of the HT leads had come loose and the bike is running fine now. Although left exhaust is smoking heavier than the right one. We have come to a halt at the moment, Ive got the wheels to get sprayed and get some new tyres from Norbo. This maybe after Christmas now. Mellow, I will video the bike running this weekend. For now Im trying to get the fzr going as its been standing for a long time.
