so now the brakes are out of the way, time to moce onto the exhausts, and with the risk of boring the pants of you, ill go over my intended method and add a crap load of images to back it up, now im on a budget ,as much as i can be with a project like this, but the fact is i cant afford to throw several hundred quid at an exhaust system (but would love to), so im making the best of what i have ,and hopefully without too much of a compromise, the story so far is that i am using my existing F2 pipes that are in good shape,(the middle bit anyway) i have cut off the downpipes to graft on my own freshly bent ones because the corrosion was prett bad at that end i also wanted to scrap the cans because it looked like they had been down the road...so to continue the story, i had a few hours free to crop off the crappy cans and manufacture a couple of brackets to enable me to mount a couple of new carbon cans off ebay (see pics attached) they seem reasonably priced at £66 plus shipping for "A PAIR"!!!..they look the part anyway, but time will tell, as the advert showed the fitting sizes i took a flyer on making the brackets to suit, oh, and my new petrol tap came from the far east (gen yam ....£4) so if you can take one thing from this thread...........it s probably that im a tight @rse git.....LOL

i love bank holidays, or indeed any day that im not at work, so grabbed a few hours to crop the new downpipes to fit, as the old ones needed replacing due to heavy pitting, i should be able to TIG weld these into place now, and with the new tail end brackets i made last friday, a lick of paint shoulkd see these ready for the new silencers...............

I started with a "master" (thanks yo shytalk) a pair of 31k fairings. Stage one is to fit it to a baseboard using threaded bar through the fairing brackets to a baseboard. Then a good wax and pva mould release Then a gelcoat and three layers of grp (this is the mould)
