Is that one of norbos looms, did you have to space it up to get fuse box in the right place, if so I need to buy one.

Hi there, yes its norbos loom and I raised the fusebox up to allow it to fit also a couple of the blocks dont match the stator plate so youll have to fit some new ones its easy enough though

Bike looks great and have enjoyed reading your build, do you have her running and does it keep that deep burble with them modified exhausts or is she a screamer?

Just had her ticking over not on the road yet. Should sound quite tame I think.

Don't be disillusioned by others, just go with what you are happy with. At the end of the day any one of these bought back to life in what ever guise you think works for you is all that matters. Were all different and want differert things from our builds depending on ability and budget. So go for it and let us know how its going. Its your bike and your project so give us a few details about you and your bike and build what works for you. I for one look forward to seeing what evolves. Good luck.

Thanks guys, I haven't been on for a while, mainly on fb at the moment....thank you for the kind comments,. But I have to admit it has taken soooo long due to little funds, and that's the reason for hitting a higher quality. Due to me making every task last while I save for the next stage. In answer to a couple of questions, the swing arm was rubbed down primed with epoxy primer and I used a gunmetal halfords paint with a 2k lacquer.

Halfords do a good fuel resistant lacquer and this worked well on the carbs to brighten them up.sorry for the delay in getting back, I have not been on here for a couple of months.

hi thank you once tank repaired i will give them a ring, Dream machine quoted £350 + vat (dear but their work is spot on!) hoping to get it repaired and sealed by the same place! otherwise if it leaks again no one will want to pay for the repaint! looks like this tank is going to cost £500-£600 to get sorted. so shopping for quotes at the moment.

Not too sure about Dream Machines rep nowadays. I'm sure I've read they are not as good as they used to be ? There are other firms that guys on here have used too - I'm sure they will be along to advise, but my experience of Mark's work is that he does a brilliant job at a good price, imo. He has done 2 complete body kits for me and I've been over the moon with them Dusty

Mark did my last lc2 tank for £250
Dream machine seem to be a bit hit and miss
Have heard good and bad stories about hartlepool radiators
Personally I'd hold out for a good clean tank then get it painted
There is a stigma about sealed tanks. I did one years ago, tank was solid with just some flash rust spots.
I sealed it for future protection then had it painted
Decided to sell the body set but struggled as people worried it was a sh1tter

Tank back great job and its sealed, outside surface not 100% but a good job, It will need a rub down befor painting, took 2 weeks including transit £310.00 I had bottom cut out sand blasted to remove rust some holes filled then bottom welded back up and renu coated inside and outside, then oven baked I must say i am confident that this will last now! I would recomend Hartlepool radiators. The phoned and kept me updated regularly. Cost alot but I now have a good tank. Just got to prep then paint it now! will post pics when bike is all finished.
