Cheers guys
Got a little leak in the water joint housing, hopefully nipping it up will sort it
I'll pop the exhausts off and silicone the flanges to seal them up
Then I'll stick the bodywork on, need to fit the fuel tap first
Also need to fit the side panel decals to line up with the tank

I'm using the same one.. It's a bit of a wobbly fit and you'll need to faff with the W clips, but it's very bright and knocks out my DAB radio every time it's on too!!

Took the exhausts off, smear of silicone in the flanges then back on
Stripped off the water joint. Seemed well bonded to the actual joint but no adhesion to the head. New gasket ordered from Rob, I'll give it a smear of silicone to be sure
I'd also used a normal m8 copper washer which looked like it wasn't seated centrally so I've ordered a new genuine one from Fowlers
Going to screw on the new fuel tap now

I never fitted the side panel decals as I needed to fit the tank onto the bike to mark up where the decals line up Popped the tank on, bit of masking tape as a guide then fitted the decals I'll get some proper pics once the fuel lines are connected and I've stuck the seat on Steve

Must almost be handover day? Hopefully within the week π€ Waiting on a couple of little nylon spacers arriving to fit the reg plate. Without them the plate doesn't clear the 2 mounting bolts for the plate holder π As long as the coolant weep is sorted now it just needs the fuel lines connected to the tap then moved round the front for a trip up and down the street just to check the clutch/gearbox Quick going over the major bits with a wrench just to be sure and it can go Steve

Cracking job, your M8 will be chuffed π Cheers I've kept a lookout for a chaingaurd for the 2 years I've had this and only been the same one on ebay It's just a small 1/4 piece that just covers the section over the rear sprocket It's a straight bolt on part so I'll leave it to the mate to pay the Β£60 for the one on ebay or find another And yeah, bike needs a wash to get rid of the dust and tyre fitting slop. Literally just wheeled it round the front and took the picture I'm in a rushing panic mode as moving in 2 weeks and still got a load of packing/shifting/storage of the garage and workshop π€― Steve

What a lovely build - great work!
Is it deliberately sitting high or just requires the suspension bedding in?

Thanks I don't think the perspective of the pictures help but it is on the higher setting that NK supplies but shock is on standard length I'm a regular inside leg and I can comfortably get my feet down once the suspension takes up the sag albeit not flat footed Can't remember how lanky my mate is π€£ Steve
