Why is it after filling with oil I find the neutral switch ain't working π
And I'd fitted the stator case and gearchange π
And the kick-start is bent

Bugger! I think yamark had the same thing with his 700 build although changing the switch on his was a bit more involved. Hopefully no more than a replacement switch and a bit of cursing Steve

Waiting for a more local mate to come back to me
Either that or the wife will be holding an lc over π€£
Got home from work sharp so whipped the kickstart off, stuck it in a vice then used an old fork stanchion to persuade it back into a more reasonable shape
Refitted then warily did the task I was trying when I realised it hit the footpeg π«£
Yes we have a spark π

Bolted the horns on, connected them and all working Had to buy a new pair as the old ones looked like they had been dropped and bashed the outside edges which they did not take well to straightening Steve

Had to do the unthinkable tonight and take a hammer to the exhausts π± They are really hugging to the bike so the spaced off hangers to get everything to clear the ridiculously wide swing arm has spaced them outward This caused 2 problems. The RH pipe was just kissing the bottom frame rail and the side stand spring lug was a good 5mm into where the pipe was I shaved the mushroom on the stand lug down flat and it still hit. Stand actually has very little slop so don't think swimming would help. Can't go external spring as it's the type with the tab Ended up taking a ball peen hammer, cutting 5 fingers off a rubber glove and stretching them over the ball. Then worked the area it was hitting very gently and worked away till I have a slight recess then touched in with some barbecue paint where the lug had scratched it. Should blend in when the paint has cured and matted in Did similar to the top edge of the RH pipe maked a shallow 30mm or so recess in it. This can't be seen when fitted Steve
