It's a good looking set up with those Koso clocks & LC housing. I originally had the same & decided to swap to a single unit mainly for weight saving, but then lost the retro look.
You pics remind me I need some rear sets on mine.

Hi all Taking some inspiration from Alex’s Mito project decided to have a go at the clock mount design Was thinking of doing the same but went a slightly different route As I need a spacer under the top yoke, designed and printed a prototype bracket (that replaced the spacer) in PETG that will also house the ignition barrel later and a feature to “lock” it to the top yoke to prevent it rotating (Note final part will be in aluminium like all my other prototype parts but want to get a loads of prototype parts in their final design first before I get all the parts made as 1 order, as planning again to use a company in China as they are very competitive on cost but shipping is a standard $50) Yoke then sits on top Then clocks mounted at the desired height using for now some bolts and nuts to set the correct height Still got a bit of development to do as I need to sort the ignition barrel mounting points, but looks good and should now allow me to design and develop the headlight mounting clamps and ears that both me and Alex need for our projects Think that’s all for now Best wishes Al

Great idea Al🙂 I think the Lc clocks will look fantastic on the bike, and the bespoke braket sits them just right in my opinion🙂

That's incredible. So simple but a perfect design. And I bet that could easily be modified to fit any stem you care to mention.

That's comiming along nice Al, just out of interest do the fork tubes hit the tank cover at full lock?

Hi all As some of you may know me and Alex are using the same Mito fork assembly on our builds, but due to the forks being tapered from 54mm (Bottom yoke) to 50mm (Top yoke) no off the shelf headlamp mounting kit would fit😔 So last few evenings been doing lots of modelling and printing to get a design mocked up for both our projects. Well this is it😎 Still want to move some parts slightly, as want to push the clocks about 10mm forward away from the top yoke, and fit the ignition barrel assembly etc. Also using an adaptor bracket managed to fit the original iconic RD350LC twin horn set up on the bottom Mito yoke, but with the horns moved closer together and an off set horn cover (pinched temporarily from my CB400F) As I think the narrow look suit the narrower bars better. Off now to tweak a few parts on the PC and printer, and decide where the front indicators will sit / mount etc But all in all good progress again, and its amazing the transformation of the bike when the clocks, headlight and horns are fitted. Best wishes Al

Looks a nice proportion. Would it be worth tweaking the front headlight mounting area to match the size of the rubber bung in the side of the headlight? That would hold the rubber in better :-)
Also, my LC does not have a headlight adjuster bracket stay as per an OEM LC, and this means the headlight can be easily knocked to be spotting Messerschmitts, so worth trying to make a bracket to hold the headlight at the correct angle.

Hi Rob
Growing the mounting point ears was on my list of tweaks but only got the headlamp today
Also looking to move the indicator mount lower, so indicators will be well below the centre line of the headlamp but above horns
And yes should be a easy one to print a simple plastic bracket for headlamp adjuster
I have now fitted a new horn adaptor plate to lift the horns 10mm to nest them better under the headlight shell and now got a new clock bracket on the printer to run overnight so I can add the ignition assembly
But yes all looking rather good.

Hi all Ok taken on board the comments thanks 😂 More shed time tonight and have redesigned the two ears to make them look less Agricultural and more racy / pointy but I am still restricted due to the 90mm long taper section. (Top one is the modified shape) Also took the time to sort out an indicator mounting point to nicely position the front indicators Ignition barrel fitting sorted too Lastly now have dropped the clocks by 25mm to get them to sit lower so they are nicely positioned in front of the top yoke rather that sitting too high All in all I think we are just about done for now till I get the parts made in aluminium and then anodised black👍 Catch up again soon Best wishes Al

Hi all While I am waiting now for the parts to finish off the front headlamp /clocks holders (that are now on order from China) decided to work out how to mount the rear indicators. To mount them first needed to manufacture a rear sub frame that bolts to the original seat frame. Then once this was sorted, to make things look more tidy have modified the rear seat hump with a scollop that allows the indicator to protrude from the side of the seat hump moulding, rather than underneath it and will allow you to remove the seat hump without the need to disconnect the indicators as also planning to maybe mount a small antigravity battery in the tail too as it the most logical place to fit it🤔 For the final finish I will edge the moulding with a bit of rubber trim but for now looking good😎 Catch up again soon, and have a good week all. Al.

Fantastic! Anti grav battery? Sounds very Star Trek. Alex Hi Alex Yes they are not cheap but very compact This is the smallest in the range that will easily fit in the seat hump Also there are said to last 7-10 years if looked after properly so not too expensive if it lasts 10 years
