Hi all Still progressing with bits and bobs for the build. As I have started my engine build started to look around a set of cylinder head bolts for the A/C barrels. A few on EBay but all very secondhand so decided to make some myself. Bought 8 stainless M14 SHC bolts and modified them to suit on the lathe. Not for those that want originality, but nothing original about this project🤣 Catch up again soon Best wishes Al

Those 2 bolts holding the front caliper on...mine are rusty! So I'm off to get some stainless ones. Would you like a pair Al?

Another job done👍 Needed to adjust the front disk offset as running a KTM wheel in a Cagiva Mito front forks and single disc / Brembo caliper Lathe has not got a big enough “swing” to accommodate a 17” wheel so did it on the mill instead👍 Lovely chubley and another “job to do” ticked off on the project Catch up again soon Al

Having the ability to design a model and then 3d print a test part for testing makes this project so much easier👍 As I am still awaiting my frame guy (as he is snowed under at the moment) decided to design a mounting plate / adaptor to allow me mock up my rear master cylinder mounting on the rear set assembly Looks ideal and later can then commit to an aluminium adaptor to mount the master cylinder now I have the final design Best wishes Al

Hi all and hope you had a good Easter. Ok while the frame is away being modified started to source everything for the fuel / inlet assembly Managed to find a pair of 4L01 carbs, and also got a set of Reed cages fitted with Hitec carbon Reeds and sourced a link pipe thanks to Rob. Also as no airbox will be used, the setup will be fitted with Ramair filter pods. Got a few small carb items on order from Norbo to finish off the assembly, and it will want rejetting to suit, but another part of Tigcraft jigsaw hopefully sorted👍

As frame is away for a while so not much to do so thought might as well give the carbs I sourced last week a once over So time to give them some ultrasonic bath time, “clean behind my balls” (will tap the hole to accept a m5 grub screw rather than put the original balls back) and replace the cloudy carb windows with clear replacement ones👍 Should be as good as new once finished👍 Have a good weekend all Best wishes Al

Great progress to have this done Al, I must grab some windows off you at some point as this is a great job to have done on old carbs, along with the behind ball cleaning.
{Thinking} Might be time for a 'Secondary carb overhaul kit' for those wanting this level of refresh and not already more than conversant with the job (as many of us are of course); Perhaps, grub screws and windows and maybe a tap. One for Norbo?

Well that’s the carbs pretty well finished for this project Full strip, ultrasonic bath and rebuild and all the minor “missing parts” replaced with new from Norbo (other than the choke link pipe) Brass balls replaced with short m5 grub screws Cloudy sync windows replaced👍 Now fitted with 27.5 pilots and larger 400 mains as a rough base point jetting set up to account for the foam pod filters Will now put away till a later date when the frame is back and the engine actually fits in the frame Then next stage exhausts👍👍😉😉 Best wishes and ride safe all Al

Been a while since posting anything Frame still away at my frame guy but he is semi retired and not chased him as other stuff going on. But my bespoke rear caliper bracket in aluminium is now done. Fits ok too in the rear swinger👍 Only a small part of the overall project 😔but another “bit” of the puzzle solved and completed.😉 Hopefully next post will be some pics of the modified frame back. Catch up soon Best wishes Al
