Mark, an absolutely brilliant build, thank you for sharing your amazing talent and engineering skills which shows what can be done when you are determined as you are. A fabulous looking machine and I wish you & Julie good luck in the show, wish I could make it to see it in the flesh.
Thanks again.

Absolutely brilliant! Looks standard at first glance, even standard from the side after another look but from the front or rear, there's something going on . Thanks for taking the time to share the build with us all. Looking forward to seeing the bike and meeting the builder on Saturday, if you have time. I'm guessing you are going to be busy. At least those of us who have followed the build on here should have less questions!

That's funny! I was chatting to a friend Monday evening and she knows my love of all things with two wheels. I explained Mark's first bike, then this one and she said the exact same thing. A 6 cylinder?

Great to meet you at Stafford on Saturday and the 700LC is an absolutely stunning build, like others have said, it looks like it could've been a Yamaha prototype straight out of their R&D department! It's an absolute credit to you and your skills, well done!

It takes me longer than 3 years to do even a near standard build so your progress is good. I presume you're going to keep this thread going until at least the start up, teething problems (hopefully few) and ride out bit is done? Now a few of us have seen it we want to see and hear it running. We're hard to please you know I just need to get mine done and i'll meet you in the middle somewhere. Maybe Squires. Bit unfair really seeing as Squires is only 50 miles from me

Hi Mark, fantastic result your attention to detail has paid off handsomely. I know it takes some time to photograph and write informative posts so thank you.
I have a question regarding the ignition. My co builder and I have an air-cooled RD 700 in a classic sidecar and are currently running a big bang ignition.
We are looking at going to a cross plane crank as it may be kinder to the gearbox.
Is there a reason you are using 4 coils rather than 2 dual tower coils? Possibly the ability to adjust individual cylinder timing?
My thinking is that the system is a wasted spark design so 2 dual tower coils would work.

Hi chaps, I've been so busy with work, bike projects and life, so I've not logged onto the Forum for a while. Mellow and Yazza54, now the weather is getting warmer, I might find some time to start and develop the 700, but other projects are my priority. I'm finding it hard to source parts and spend lots of time searching for parts, planning builds and machining/fabricating. I'm also still catching up financially after taking a year off to look after Sue before she died. Cheers, Mark
