I have far to many people to mention, but a huge thanks to you all . Back to the build. I had the radiator made to my specification a while back by GMX (through Martin at MBD). The expansion spigot on the filler neck is slightly smaller than the expansion tank outlet. So I made a reducer that can be hidden under the fuel tank(I took a picture of this earlier in the thread). This is it fitted with the 2 different ID pipes and clips SDC12288 SDC12289Next the radiator fitted SDC12290Then the modified oil pump cover SDC12291The radiator cover fitted (this was plastic welded together and stapled/strengthened by a great mate of mine, Lee Brennan) SDC12292I then cleaned the bike and fitted the side panels You can now see how much plumbing, brackets and cables there are, also, the right outer cylinder carb bend can be seen SDC12293 That leaves the fuel tank, fuel taps to modify (the right hand one) and fuel lines to finish SDC12294 The right hand fuel tap needs to have its outlet pipe facing rearwards, not forwards as it is in this last image. Once again, a huge thank you to all the people who have got the 700 to the Stafford show. It will be on the LC Club stand both days; they always have a superb range of bikes on display. Special thanks to CBM, Dusty and Foxyjohn for making it happen Cheers, Mark

Thanks chaps , amazing comments. On with the build, with the right fuel tap removed, I heat up the brass outlet, and carefully remove it. url=https://flic.kr/p/2nQo6Cd]SDC12301 I then drill out the reverse side of the tap SDC12302 I then use a brass ball to blank of the original outlet SDC12303 I then install the brass outlet in it's new position SDC12304 This image shows the fuel pipe route for the re located outlet SDC12305 And a image of the left fuel tap, and the new carb top cable guide SDC12306 Lastly, the third bracket for the clutch cable next to the rad SDC12307That's it, the final piece in the enormous jig saw (someone hid the picture on the lid of the box) Next week, the pictures of the finished bike, one week later, the bike will be at Stafford. Cheers, Mark

The finished bike, for the eagle eyed among you, these were taken before the R/H fuel tap work and fuel lines were completed. (I hastily photographed the bike for the private entry to the Stafford bike show). url=https://flic.kr/p/2nRK5xx]SDC12295 SDC12296SDC12297 I've painted the rear of the cans since this image was taken SDC12298SDC12299SDC12300A massive thank you to everyone who supplied parts, paintwork, powdercoating etc. A special thank you to Dusty, Frank, Lee and my boys for lifting the heavy parts I can't manage, all of which was done for no financial reward. To Julie, the new love in my life, for her patience and understanding. The RD700LC, Julie and I will be at Stafford next weekend on the LC club stand. Please say hello to us all. Cheers, Mark

Simply stunning !! It was a big task to surpass the triple build, but you have achieved it brilliantly. The pics are great, but the bike looks even bigger in "real life" and the engine looks perfectly balanced in the frame - no easy task. Im so glad we've all seen just what has been involved with this build from the start. Stafford will be the perfect showcase for it Well done mate See you Saturday Dusty

Congratulations Mark, The 700 looks fantastic (as if it were ever in doubt!). A truly well deserved Pat on the back to you Sir. Not only have you found time to do this, but have also helped me immeasurably with my own project, found time to work full time, juggle family life and relationship and yet, remain a truly humble man. Thank you mate.
Iain.

For the second time on this forum my jaw has hit the floor. First time was the triple. But this is just breath taking. Thing is, to the man on the street who may have had one back in the day, it looks standard. Then you notice the side by side exhausts and the front and rear end...and still it looks like a mild hybrid...until you spot the side by sides are on BOTH sides!
Mark, that bike is truly astonishing. What a credit to you. I can't make Stafford but I still want to see her one day!
