Top Blokes Tim & Chris Ward , You Wont Go Wrong .... Dave mate i'm well happy they are very helpful guys tbh i've a problem with the frame as its already powder coated (Red) how ever they gave great advice as to what to do and who to do it so atm i've the back frame at home. as i'm away this wk. i'll take the frame to a chemical company they recommended. Tbh they said they could probably do it but it would cause harm to the frame and tbh i respect there honesty. ;)so it looks like i'll take the frame for chemical strip on Monday 12th and collect the parts from C J wards they are working on at the same time. i'll collect the frame friday 16th Aug from the chemical strippers and drop it off at Cj Wards on the way back easy ain't it can't wait guys

been busy doing other bits guys but while i've been waiting for a few engine bits etc i did some work on the brake calipers this is where i am today hope my tip will helps some one. Removing the piston from the brake caliper, Guys i've recently started to work on my front/rear Caliper for my 250 D project. i know folk may have there own ideas but i hope you can find something useful with my recent experience. i bought the Calipers from Andy Rdbreaker last yr and while they were stored i placed them in a bag and let them soak in oil/diesel and occasionally turned them around so it could get into the nooks and crannies etc and so i finished up with a clean pair of calipers. the first thing i did was to first crack off the two allen bolts and fixing bolts on the caliper i also thought it made some difference in removing the fixing bolts etc. Using and old banjo bolt i welded an small tube so i could fit a grease nipple at the end of it Ok after fitting the banjo adaptor in the caliper banjo hole i could now using a grease gun to apply pressure to the inner side of the piston forcing it outwards. you have to do this carefully as in my case 1 piston moved and the other didn't. to overcome this problem i inserted a 10mm allen key in the caliper opening and continued to apply pressure using the grease gun this allowed the calipers to move forward and have a clamping effect on the key, at this stage the two pistons are now clamping the key with quite considerable force so the remove the key you need to remove the pressure the only way i could do this was to remove the grease nipple but be careful thou don't be surprised if you have a squirt of grease down the front of your shirt Having done that you will be able to remove the key, refit the grease nipple and reapply the pressure. now by using control you will be able to hold either one of the pistons using a clamp or large screw driver until the two pistons are out in equal portions from there housings When you get to this tage you can now part the caliper into two halves this then allows you to clamp the piston in the vice note protecting it from damage and by rocking left to right with an upward motion will result in the caliper body being removed from the piston. so if all goes well you will have removed the piston without damage This next pics show the caliper stripped and 1 of the pistons polished showing no damage to the seal area. Good luck i hope its been of use to some one.
