Just got my bodywork back From painters and fitted to bike, really pleased with the finish.. decals were applied at “the image works” prior to lacquer and polish ( yes I’ve lacquered all of it , and it’s got the decal on the front muddy 😝😝) B8EF15B1-8874-40AC-BA54-DCB1C37D51C0 by ..

...40 odd miles. Weather was dry but cold. Went to Troon, watched the seals in the harbour, had chips and a coffee. Came home and washed it ready for its hybernation. That must be the last run of the year I would imagine Steven.

Finally managed to get sparks working. When I put the battery on for the first time I checked for sparks straight away and I was sure all was well. Subsequently lost sparks and couldn’t work out what was wrong. Got desperate followed the very comprehensive faulting guide on this forum, there was obviously something not right but I couldn’t nail it down. Picked up a second cdi unit but it wasn’t that. Finally had a brain wave today. When I first tried the ignition the headlight wasn’t fitted. The wire for the parking light was missing originally and in a previous post I showed how I made a replacement. I had only plugged the parking light wire into the wrong wire on the connector block in the headlight, wondered why it wasn’t working as it should. Only got to put it all back together now to see if it will make some noise. Fingers crossed.

Hi, Prepared for winter sleep. Not the funniest to do, but necessary. Cleaning, removing battery, emptying tank (oiled) and carbs, oiling cables, etc. Did this for 4 bikes so took me the weekend. Now time to plan and work on project bikes;) Smoke

Flywheel lapped on with grindingly paste , cleaned thoroughly then fitted to engine on bench.
Hopefully PJME will be in touch soon to say my barrels have been made well again.
May have ignition at Christmas.

Received a whole bunch of bits - crank, YSS shock, oil pump, swingarm rebuild, clutch dampers, horns - all paid for by some timely selling of old car parts.

How long to print one Alan? About 13 hours It’s due to all the additional support needed and I run a bit slower to ensure a good print with no flaws. I would rather I take a bit longer but get a good print every time Best wishes Al

Checked why the brakes on my recently bought rd350 ypvs lc2 were awful. Took callipers off and discovered the pistons don’t move and looks like fluid has got into the pads. Cleaned and prepared them for posting to powerhouse for refurbishment
