Nothing to the rd But swapped batteries on the tzr’s put the lithium ion one on the trick one. Started both of them and the FZR600R. To let them get up to temperature. The Powervalve is still on Kevs operating table at KP motorcycles

Today i have been doing lots of plug chops and adjusting my new PWK 28mm carbs. They seem very easy to adjust but i think the Mikuni's are a better quality carb. Maybe i'm just used to Mikunis. Anyway it was a scorcher of a day and Norbo's radiator performed well and the max temperature that i hit today was 60 deg c

As i have just imported my LC11 from UK to Eire, i took it to NCT station to get Irish plates sorted. As the bike is over 30 years old appointment and registration was free, and road tax for over 30 years is 28 euro. New reg starts 84WX shows its a 1984 bike registered in County Wexford.

That's the easy going Irish for ya. Now go down to your local and have a pint to clebrate....

Out yesterday for a short ride to the shops. As usual I go up a few back streets first so by the time I get to the shops the smoke is nearly all gone. Got three streets away and it just cut out. Lucky I was at the top of a hill and coasted towards home with only about a 150 metre push uphill. Who said internal combustion engines were inefficient with fuel?
Expecting the worse after the CDI shat itself a couple of months ago I did the usual process of narrowing it down. Bloody coil. Lucky I had a spare. Was happy about that.

Fitted me Tyga cans on the Valve, fook me they are loud (and too long), need some shorties! Not RD, but fitted the carbon cans from the RD onto the RGV, just fitted cougar valves and a Translogic dash to it as well, nearly MOT time. Happy. Andy. There's always something isn't there Ken, mines the same, it's been going really well for a while now with no problems, last Sunday I went for a ride to a cafe for breakfast with a few mates, when we came out it refused to start, tried to bump start it, nothing, I had visions of it going home in the back of a ute or van, took the plugs out both a very good colour and they would have only done 500km, had a good spark, I had a couple of new plugs in the tool tray under the seat put them in and it started first kick and ran perfectly? ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) What is it with these bikes ![>:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/superangry.png) Steve

finally getting back to the rebuild and I need to find my mechanical mind- case in point was slowly undoing the steering head nut (which was only finger tight) and imagine my surprise at the huge clang and pling-pling noise as the (unsupported you t**t) triple tree plummeted to the steel deck of the bike lift and ball bearings scattered everywhere...while I'm here is there a special tool for this pristine slotted steering collar thing...I don't want to whack it a flathead and make it look like ...well....it was whacked with a flathead ![](https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-m8WRcrq/0/c93356ed/L/i-m8WRcrq-L.jpg) it's highly likely, knowing this bikes history that this is the original grease that was applied by a Japanese factory worker circa 1982
