Had some fun and games with the LC last couple of weeks, would only intermittently start , turns out the fuse holders where falling apart , so replaced fuseholder with a Yambits item , during all that, it fell off the side stand, so ive had to replace a few bits and bobs, the clutch perch snapped , again replaced with Yambits item which came complete with a new lever and all the bolts, adjuster etc for around the same price as just the perch from Yam. I couldn't tell it apart from the original broken item. ![](https://thumbsnap.com/s/4CSnMjU5.jpg)

Rode it home from the auto electricans, touched in a couple of marks on the handlebar and replaced the bar grips(with pattern items ....look the same. £6 instead of £25 and they are made in japan!..sick of Yamaha taking the piss with prices..
Anyway, my world is in balance again...![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

Well not today. a week or so ago.. A couple of mates were at the pub and I arranged to turn up and show off the bike. Pulled up and parked next to a couple of Harleys out the front.. Anyway caught up with my mates. A yamaha mechanic came out to check it out even though he was in the marine division. Then a couple of older hairy looking blokes came out for a look. The pub was packed. Said my fair wells and instead of starting first kick every time when its warm , bloody F ing thing,, nothing. Kicked it to death. Nothing. After 5000 trouble free kilometres since the latest build. The stupid CDI decided to pack it in. Stupid bike.

Put another 60 odd running in miles on the power valve today, had a car turn right in front of me, for a split second i thought things were going to end badly and judging by the look on the other drivers faces they thought so too, luckily for me we missed each other, squeaky bum time, why they do it i never know, there was nobody behind me, F-----g retards.

Found out I have no lights, so need to correct before MOT. Indicators fine. Try bulb but knowing my luck it will further along the line

To make it worse. A mate had 3 spare ones and said pick one. In the end none of them worked. He wasn't happy.

over the last week. took ma wheels off and took em to the tyre shop in Harold wood, changed em from my continental "no confidence" to bt45's refurbed front calipers with seals, pistons slide pin rubbers and put the shims bk in whilst wheels were off. slapped it all together and brakes no longer sticking or ticking (pads were knocking around wit no shims/rubbers and the sticky pistons) Would like to thank the very helpful posts people have done on this web site for helping me with the calipers. first corner i took was worst than ever ... rear tyre had lost air ... (should of checked em, but assumed cause the tyres new would be ok) pumped up the tyres to 33 front 36 back and WOT A DIFFERENCE!! confidence in my bike is back ... seems back tyre a slow puncture, phoned the shop today, they apologised and suggested i bring it, rode it there and they spotted a nip in the inner tube and promptly put a new one in. rode it home like i stole it .. feels great !! tyres inspire confidence so happy ![:))](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cheesy.png)

With the original on my bike. It would start normal and all would be good till it was warmed up.

Took three sets of aircooled bodywork over to my friendly aircraft painter mate, looking forward to seeing if they turn out as nice as the planes he paints for a living.
