Mick generally provides a bespoke service mine were £375, they are incredibly light and he tunes the length to the bike (hence the elephants trunk on the SDR).
Mick makes the pipes but making them shine is up to the buyer, the ali he uses is very good quality.
He is a legend in the two stroke tuning world.

I remember those RXS100's where pretty nippy back in the day...
Quicker than than the H100 but not quite a match for the mighty GP100!
Pipes are looking sweet mate..

Needs a shakedown, but the shock is f@@ked so needs replacing and I'm debating whether to buy some sparkly new carbs.

Yep, I know loads of people thats have use it with no adverse effects, I have also used tank cure with no adverse effects.
I have heard the internet scare stories and I have never seen any actual proof but I have seen lots of successful builds using these products so thats why I will use them.
Also I like my tanks without rust and to stay solid.

Yesterday started it again and rode it down to the bottom of the street and back again and the first 3 gears work!!! The GSXR1000 shock needs a much softer spring as its like a plank so I'm gonna have a chat with Kais about that. Just need to tie down the pipes and sort the electrics and its MOT time

Still having problems with the indicators so I treated myself to a new lathe Its a Boxford CUD, 415v 3 phase with powered slide and screw cutting. Came with 4" and 6" lathe chucks

Lovely little lathe, do you have 3phase wired, or are you going to use an inverter ?
|
|
|
Post by hardhatharry on Jun 4, 2013 22:36:27 GMT 1
I have an invertor already, Direct Drives one, they are very good, had it nearly 2 years running my old lathe with no bother.
Dont know about little, looks feckin huge in my garage and getting it out of the van took 3 of us, deffo not light
I'll stick my old one in the for sale section

Not posted for a while as I hit the buffers with the indicator flasher unit issue.
So I got a new Powervalve loom from KennyRoberts and spent four days cleaning, altering and upgrading to a blade fuse holder as I have got fed up trying to find 20mm glass fuses
Now everything works finally I can move forward.
Just need to alter the side stand so it doesn't foul the gear selector and mount the front indicators and its ready for MOT

What no paint ??
|
|
|
Post by hardhatharry on Jul 24, 2013 9:24:30 GMT 1
Need to ride it first make sure no bits are rubbing against other bits, that all the welding has been done and I haven't forgotten anything.
Then paint.......
|
|
|
Post by hardhatharry on Jul 25, 2013 21:02:23 GMT 1
Well the last couple of bits were done: -
Altered the sidestand by taking a wedge of metal out on the top part of the mount, lump hammered the ends back together and welded the resultant gap.
Some general tidying up of the loom..............
Then
Today was a momentous day on June 28th 2012 I started to build an LC Hybrid.
After a year and just short of a month of cutting, welding, soldering, wrenching, screwing, tapping, helicoiling and soldering I rode my LC down to the end of the street and back with everything working (except a water leak when hot water pipe needs nipping up, slight gearbox oil leak and 1 intermittent sticking floatbowl).
The last time the LC ran was 20 years ago
It fer brings a tear to my eye.
Now to book an MOT (and a snagging list).
