That Plastic Valvie case cover will need trimming to fit the LC frame. Suggest using the Ali LC one.. it's prettier as well :-0 IMO I'd Fit the LC type shock. Adding a shock hoop to the Ali swinger to do so. The Motocross shocker arrangement offers No advantage in real life beyond perceived looks. Following on the looks thought: the Old Skool TZ look is far more elegant imo.

Bugger, schoolboy error was cracking on and didnt realise the head races where different thickness put the thicker one in top. Can only see welding something to it will get it out?

Can't you just tap it out from the bottom, using a long steel rod or something?

Hopefully tomorrow I shall be lathing some delrin bearings for the swingarm and as I cant get hold of 16 x 42 x 12 bearings for a sensible price (£18+ each) I will be fitting 22 x 42 x 12 and machining captive spacers so I can fit NC29 wheels with GSXR forks and sprindle

Well Norbos care package arrived today mostly grommets to keep the side panels in place, fitting kit for the radiator, fitting kit for tail grab and carb rubbers. Anyway tank on, tail rail, rad and carbs in. Some measuring and I now have a plan for the front wheel spacers Unfortunately my boring tool and cutting tools are worn and I cant be bothered sharpening them (carbide tipped) so I've ordered indexable ones from Evilbay hopefully they will be here tomorrow so I can start the spacers

Well finished the spacers so the front wheel is back in and central but now I understand why Nigel at NK said I will need to machine the brake calipers to fit Rear left hand spacer in too so I can line up the rear and front sprocket and see if some tweeks are needed. Need to source a rear caliper and bracket (back to evilbay for a GSXR one) before I can space the right side out. The mighty lathe has been busy I was going to go to the gym but ended up hacksawing that 52mm aluminium bar in the vice to source the metal for the rear spacer, knackered after doing that.

Ok lining up the front and rear wheel today and I am 90% sure the frame is twisted at the headstock. First I was using florescent tubes as straight edges against the rim of the rear wheel (without tyre) and measuring the gap between the front wheel and the tube but the tube always hit the front wheel rim, hmmmm. So I got a laser pointer and when I hold it against the rear wheel with sprocket carrier without any spaces pushed as far to the left it can go on the spindle, the laser pen dot hits the edge of the front tyre on the left hand side.

Not been on for a while so here is the update: - The frame straightening bloke did me a deal on a new frame with V5 so swapped everything onto the new frame. Missus got me a welding helmet with flames for Xmas Also stumbled on a boxing day bargain 130 amp welder not as good as my 170 amp welder next to it but I'll get it working good and flog it on So it was rude not to use the new helmet to make a bracket for the powervalve motor and snot it onto the frame. Also made a template in cardboard and then in ply for the rear brake bracket. Off to my mate who has a milling machine to make in ally.

OK more build updates Sprocket carrier needed machining down, here is a before and after pic Next the sprocket nuts needed cleaning and zinc plating Before After Nice one off sprocket machined by Renthal and the chain fettled and we have a rather sexy backend and to finish things off I installed garage entertainment system V2.0
