I'm a newbie to the site and have taken a look at your hybrid, very nice work in progress. I've got the offer of either a standrd 250 or a slightly hybrid 350, both at the same price and after seeing your bike I think my mind is made up to go hybrid.

After riding modern stuff the LC brakes scared the crap out of me, hybrid was the only way to go for me

Ok so where were we? Ah yes Banshee coils ok so the bracketry and wring is done All I did was get some of the finest B&Q steel bar cut it and tapped it to 6mmat the ends for the Coils and driled in the middle removed a bit of paint for the earth cut the +ive and spliced two wired into the loom for both coils and similar for the negative using the centre of the bracket as the earth point. ![](http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318/hardhat_harry/IMAG0319_zps03275221.jpg) Then the HT leads were cut down and fitted with NGK caps ![](http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318/hardhat_harry/IMAG0323_zps47a7b7ed.jpg)

Next cardboard templates were made to ensure the plates for the rearsets from a GSXR600 K4 fitted to the frame then they were cut out of 6mm plate steel and snotted on the frame ![](http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318/hardhat_harry/IMAG0307_zpsd850206b.jpg) Here is the end result ![](http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318/hardhat_harry/IMAG0306_zps657a4d74.jpg) As Im a newby I got a mate to weld them done a good job too

I have another mate who has a milling machine made a bracket for the rear caliper from 10mm aluminium unfortunatley I didnt take a picture until it was on the bike. Then it was off to another mate who welded the ally swingarm so the caliper bracket had a groove to sit in and a torque arm wasnt needed ![](http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318/hardhat_harry/IMAG0316_zpsd81308f1.jpg) ![](http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318/hardhat_harry/IMAG0318_zps01b11043.jpg) ![](http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318/hardhat_harry/IMAG0317_zpse4c6fd9c.jpg) Its all a bit tight in there but it just manages to fit

And a nice new instrument bracket from NK racing ![](http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318/hardhat_harry/IMAG0308_zps542ffe59.jpg) To fit a Trailtech Vapor Stealth ![](http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318/hardhat_harry/IMAG0313_zps60ed557c.jpg) Here is the bracket fitted ![](http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318/hardhat_harry/IMAG0310_zpsa24f03ac.jpg) Looks easy to fit but I ended up having to take the top yolk off to fit it which meant to refit the top toke needed front wheel off and forks dropped

Ok so the next job is fitting the rear indicator mount. The original subframe had the ends of the mount cut off so the rest had to go ![](http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318/hardhat_harry/IMAG0315_zps17eb6e5e.jpg) Luckily B&Q again have some round bar. The plan is to heat the bar up and put a 6mm nut into the bar end and peen it over. Coffee first I think

More stuff done Indicator mounts done with M6 nuts recessed into the ends so I can screw indicators in ![](http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318/hardhat_harry/IMAG0324_zps3ffba489.jpg) To put these funky little LED indicators in ![](http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318/hardhat_harry/IMAG0326_zps0e9b9545.jpg) And welded a couple of tabs to mount the CDI and YPVS brains ![](http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318/hardhat_harry/IMAG0325_zpsbfeec7ff.jpg)

Situation Report OK the fusebox fell apart so I fitted a new one from Norbo, first attempt and the plugs that connect the fusebox to the main loom weren't great so cut them off and soldered it directly to the loom. Also took the opportunity to fit new battery leads ![](http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318/hardhat_harry/IMAG0332_zps55979850.jpg) Next time to fit the GSXR K4 rearsets with 13mm spacers of the lathe ![](http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318/hardhat_harry/IMAG0334_zpsd86aded0.jpg) Needed to modify the gear selector end by taking a YPVS gear rod end ground off the knob that goes into the rose joint and fitted the K4 one and welded it in place this then connected to the K4 rose joint and rod. ![](http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318/hardhat_harry/IMAG0335_zps78b6fb7c.jpg) The other rearset fitted again with 10mm spacers. ![](http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318/hardhat_harry/IMAG0339_zps36cebb75.jpg) Fitted the obligatory HRC (proper one not a fake one that sweats) rear res. ![](http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318/hardhat_harry/IMAG0340_zpse3e3b8c5.jpg) With nice new Venhill lines (carbon effect which look black but with the weave just showing) new Venhill banjo's, washers and bolts. ![](http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318/hardhat_harry/IMAG0342_zpscbba3305.jpg) Bit of a slight c**kup with the front lines one of the lines was too short so ordered the right length Single line from the master cylinder ![](http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318/hardhat_harry/IMAG0337_zps85158870.jpg) Down to a splitter with hydraulic switch ![](http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318/hardhat_harry/IMAG0338_zpsdb680a68.jpg) ![](http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318/hardhat_harry/IMAG0345_zps74c731cd.jpg) Also fitted nice shiny rad lid ![](http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318/hardhat_harry/IMAG0343_zps0db6232e.jpg) and started wiring the clocks ![](http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318/hardhat_harry/IMAG0346_zpseb0d522c.jpg) Also waiting for some milled headlight miounts to go onto these Tarozzi clamps ![](http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o318/hardhat_harry/IMAG0336_zps60dc31eb.jpg)

These will be GP exit (two pipes down one side stacked one above the other), will post some more pics at the weekend when I get it back.
To decide look at budget, style and the type of finish you want then look for who does it
