My first car that I owned hasn’t been a decent sport ever done before S935KBL where are you now? Bought this when I gave up my company cars and joined dibble. This and a gsxr1100wt in my garage. Look how complicated this one is And another 500 gamma this will be a Readers Special version, Ud front end, spannies, dymag wheels etc etc

Exceptional car, I’m a big porker fan and this is the real genesis of what came after. My dream motor would be a singer 911. The back story gives so much connection with your dad, almost as though he couldn’t part with it and wanted you to become its next keeper. I can imagine you honing through the hills and your old man spiritually by your side. Enjoy the next chapter of the car Jim. 👍

Kawasaki Gpx750 one of the best bikes of its day. I was working at Nck in the 80’s an astonishing bike far better than the other 750’s at the time woefully undersold. Then the zxr750h1 ended up building our demo straight out of the crate, Pdi’d then when out and ran it in, first bike I did 150 on awesome tool, so much so I bought a brand new J1 in 1991. 21 yrs old thought I was a god. (Shame the zzr600 was as quick). I adore the 80’s not only because it was my era (into the 90’s) but we started with A/c twin shock 8 valves with spaghetti frames, stainless discs and ended with Ud forks alloy beam frames etc etc probably the most inventive period of design. And yet I still go back to my Lc.

Easiest thing to do drill fit a captive nut fit the chain guide. Nylon is the best.

The other consideration is make sure you fit a chain guide on the top of the arm near the swinging arm pivot point as the chain can wear the alloy. I and I believe Dusty have used hard nylon so it gets worn if the chain is either loose or flaps. Also be mindful of the eccentric position as it changes ride height depending if it’s at the top or bottom position.

Value is guess at around £4-450 new they are what £600 ish? Dusty will know new price I’d imagine as he has single handled kept them in business. I like the look some don’t it’s pure personal choice. That’s if it is all complete. You need to ensure you’ve all the correct fittings esp rear wheel spindle I bought one of the last spindles available cost me £110 then I found my original one.

Tz swinging arms do have more bracing though than either a standard arm or even the metmachex and imo look far more impressive. I’ve contacted Tamsin to see if they will do a one off arm combining the tz bracing with Lc fitment but unfortunately they are too busy doing standard arm so won’t do it. I’m with Dusty on the later arms and the non eccentric adjustment, Ive an original metmachex and would prefer the non eccentric adjuster but I’ll live with what I have. TBH if you are at the point that you are thinking about chassis flex you’d be better bracing the original frame as per JonW. The first point being the swinging arm mount on the frame. You have a small spindle size in a single plate mounting. You are talking about 1970/80s chassis design. You also need to account for if you change one part then you need consistent changes otherwise you’ll just highlight another area for change. For me the standard chassis is good enough for what it is. If however I was going for big brakes big suspension big bore motor I’d agree you need to make significant chassis changes.

Looks good Alex bought the new 750 Honda sohc that’s just out, then Actually did some airbrushing today the katana body work which was difficult as it’s 4 colours. Once I finish it then the joey rc30 and z1000 oh and the Lc it’s time for a skoal bandit rg500.

It’s the whole lifestyle thing and the it ain’t shit if it ain’t Harley bollocks. I owned a sportster sport as I needed something more comfortable and I like flat trackers biggest piece of shite I’ve ever owned sold it as soon as I got home. Slow like super dream slow heavy and didn’t handle, then a buell looked amazing but again too slow for me. The lifestyle has to be a choice, the bikes are appalling in comparison to anything in the same sector, and v expensive they aren’t owned/kept for their ability as a machine but as a statement. It’s like dressing up as a kid they pop into their closet and come out like Mr Benn dressed as a wannabe outlaw. They pretend to be ‘ard’ stopping traffic f**k off what part of the traffic act 1986 applies you donkeys, they need f**king head butting. I’ve ridden bikes constantly for nearly 50 years on and off road, grew up with bikes, I’m not defined by my bikes I ride because I love it I’m not projecting my ‘personality’ or lack of. Or am I just jealous that I can’t pretend to be hells granny at the weekend?

Gully seats are as uncomfortable as a plank, I sold mine recently and have gone back to original. I’ve not got passenger footrests just Nk rear sets, never been a problem at mot or subsequently.

You’d have to be careful that the frames haven’t rotted through as well. Esp if the buyer isn’t aware.

Bimota combo I haven’t seen before. Different. Front brake looks tasty 🙂 As soon as I saw it I knew you’d like it John 👍 Did wonder is it a cb750/4 bimota adapted for the laverda motor never knew they made a laverda frame?

If you get the chance there were moments I could barely watch, there are moments that grip. The reviews are either hugely positive or massively negative very little in between worth making your own mind up especially if you like alternative takes.
