Well went in man cave late but back wheel fitted, oil and 2 stroke oil in, rebuilt other brake calliper. Still need to fit seat cover and paint inside of discs, then can throw it back together ready for MOT.

Had a few hours in the man cave tonight with my pal Bri, wheels rebuilt, new bearings and tabs, new carb inlet rubbers and throttle cable fitted, new clutch springs fitted, 1 front caliper rebuilt. Seat cover thrown on waiting for fitting correctly, things to do, paint inside rims of front discs, fit seat cover properly, refill oil and water, refit rad guard, refit wheels and bodywork, paint front calipers, hopefully sort this tomorrow and get MOT booked for Friday.

Hopefully rebuild and fit the wheels tomorrow, maybe get the seat put back together and paint and rebuild the front brakes. Trying to sort an MOT next week so I can get an English plate, painter can't do it until January so it's green until then.

Having searched the web it seems that some seats have straps and some don't, question 1 is, which should have? Question 2 is, on pics the piping seams to marry up with the top decal lines on the tank, but most covers the piping disappears under the seat, any answers as to what should be right or wrong on this please?

I know there are threads on this but none mention if the tough satin is lacquered afterwards, so did anyone lacquer?

Well it's far from perfect but it's certainly better, thinking some black nail varnish in the gaps then a sticker, unless OEB has a nicer one that deserves the sticker more?

If your repairs do not work I may have one in better condition you can have, got 5 or 6 of them in the garage. OEB 5 or 6 is just greedy! How much would 1 be please? Just looked at the sticker and that's £7.50 so may be false economy unless it turns out nice.

So the speedo cowel is like many others no doubt, the previous owner had decided to fill the gaps with filler! Got as much as I can out and will bung in oven to see if it's memory shrinks it back before clamping with glue and buying a sticker for it, I know I can buy new but the £50 can go towards the paint job and I'll replace this when she gets the full on resto treatment.
