I had posted my LC life story when i joined a few weeks back. But that seems to have dissapeared with the Probard HDD fail.
So it's gonna be a 4L0/1 frame witha 31k Motor and RGV M front / back end.
The plan is to source all the stuff first and then get stuck in

Thanks for the kind comments guys The rebuild will be slow but sure due to work commitments. The workshop is a blessing. Done a lot of tinkering at bikes so have learned the hard way that proper tools + equipment are essential. Espesially the fridge for the budweiser Got lucky with the used kitchen cupboards (FREE) They're handy. But i have to many with too much shite in them.

The RGV M front end. Not the easiest thing to source. Will be polishing the forks and fitting a new set of seals. Trial fit of the yokes

Back end arrived today. So just a piccy or 2 of where the front and back end should go. Top yoke still needs raisers and paint Forks have been polished Front Wheel stripped and ready for bearings, but wont paint till it's near complete as i've no idea on colours yet. Fcuk i wish i had more time to crack on with it.

I use a streetfighter specialist shop here in Northern Ireland to do polishing.
They charged me £50 to do em which i though was good.
TBH i'd have prefered a set of black anodised ones but these gold ones came up first and i deffo don't like gold so they had to be polished.
They'll do my job. But i would swap my polished ones for black anodised.

You could always get yours anodised and now they have been polished, the black anodise will leave a very nice finish.

Don't talk about anodising Martin Been trying to remove it from the 3ma swinger. Doing my head in, tried the strongest of all oven cleaners and it won't even touch it Theres a place down the road that does anodising so im going to drop it in and see if they can maybe reverse the process?

Cant see how oven cleaner would remove anodising. Its not a coating on the metal its actually in the top surface of the metal. Therefore to get rid of it you would need to remove the metal to get back to the base. polishing them with a proper mop and coarse block of compoundwould do the trick no probs. Technical metals in newtownards done mine, ( a set of earlier rgv forks ) I polished them to get the ridges and the marks out of them and striped them FULLY the earlier ones bottom comes off and there is an O ring in them it needs removed. They anodised them £20 quid. Heres what mine looks like.

Change of plan. Sold the 4L1 frame i had as the DVLA here in Northern Ireland are giving me too much shit over cc change to 347 for 31k motor. So had to buy this 4L1 frame with 347cc on the V5 to simplify things Sold the Banna arm as another fourm member made me an offer i could not refuse Bought this Rgv250P arm which WILL be used in this project. It's of to NK racing for mods to suit the 4L0 frame. Powdercoating it when i get it back in the new year.

Got the swinger back from NK Racing and sent it straight to powdercoaters. This is the result. Got some new bearings for the arm and stuck it into frame today. A perfect fit and i only had to modify chain rubber to finish. Hat off to NK racing for a sweet bit of engineering. Got carried away so stuck the front end in too. Gives me a better idea where i'm going with this now.

Got the taper bearings of Norbo.
Will use a 31k ign switch and make it fit as using 31k motor, loom etc
Decent man Nigel. Some say he's expensive. I say you get what you pay for.
Didn't like the look of banana arm i seen on a 4L0 So i sold to trubrit on this fourm as his Mrs bought a 4L1 rolling chassis of me. Between them they left a lot of money with me. To kind for my own good.
Regreted selling arm the minute i boxed it up as i seen one on a 31k and it looked sweet. Should've kept it for 31k project i'm gonna tackle when this one's done.
Ah well, sure they're like pubes - nearly every c**t's got em !!!!!!!!!!!!

FFS, i'll make my mind up yet. Aprilia RS250 mk2 front end and rear wheel being used now. The front end fitted easily. I have put a 5 mm washer between the bearing in top of headstock and the Lc bearing cup and all fits/lines up and works sweet. The back wheel is just sitting in on spindle for the desired look. Only a matter of spacing it out correct but has been done before so not an issue.

will be using a top yoke of a GSXR400 (gk76a) as the aprillia yoke is slanted and fitting raisers would be tricky. Gsxr one fits straight on. So that's the front end in the way i want it. Raisers coming soon. Have to sort out lock stops but that'll not be hard as i can bolt something into original thread holes in bottom yoke.

Back wheel in and lined up. It's tight in there. RS caliper bracket modified to suit RGV arm.

So this is what she looks like today. Next thing to do is to rebuild the bottom end of the YPVS motor and get it fitted so i can do the chain alignment. I do know i'll need an offset front sprocket and will have to machine the rear sprocket mounting surface to let it in a wee bit.

looks nice m8 but i think it looks better without the hugger but thats just me m8 btw, what size rear tyre is it because my kr1s/lc needed some taking out of the frame for the chain to pass which i never did and the bike is stripped again now.i could'nt get an off set sprocket on beacuse of the said problem plus to get the chain to line up the chain was rubbing the tyre,my rear tyre is a 140,just don't want people to have the same problems as me but you probably know this already m8.
