Hi Pete those look like 'Spondon 440's' yokes. I have some on my 4LO Hybrid, like you i wanted the horns mounted in the standard way, so i got 'Spondon 440' to drill and tap the yokes which he did perfectly. He also supplied spacers to make them sit away from the yokes. HTH Mouse thanks mouse yes there his yokes i think thats the best thing too do as i,m not going too chance it myself , but yes i really like the horns on an lc

so a few questions as you can see the forks have no holes for the horn bracket to bolt too , whats the score with this ? do you drill some out or remount them somewhere else , i do really like the horns on an lc on the front but must say i,m not keen on drilling it out.

Hi lads So I’ve been a member on here for well over 10 years now & seen some amazing bikes that built on here , some really talented lads on here , had my lc since 98 it was in a box of bits for well over 7 years , I gradually built it back up again with loads of help of the forum to what it is now but too be fair I allways fancied a lc hybrid , I’ve all ready got a pretty much standard N1 ,so in the summer after a chat with matt (yogi) I thought sod it I’ll give it a go but plan to keep it as simple as I can as I’m NO bike builder , I’m going rgv front end with a metechex arm to take rgv rear wheel I’ve already bought the forks, wheels , arm , brakes So here it goes with some pics , please feel free to offer advice if you see something that could be done better Or easier, my main aim at the minute is too get it back on its wheels so I can move it around the shed if need be Thanks Pete

Finally finished my man cave...started assembling it end of April and moved the LCs in last weekend.... Its 6.5m x 3.5m , my good lady has one side for her office/gym area and ive the other , for storing bikes really but the aim was to totally free up the space garage so I can now kit it out with a ramp/bench etc. Its a Dunster house cabin, with a couple of modifications( mainly around the barn doors) and came in a kit form, they wanted £1900 to assemble it , which I thought was a bit rich but when this huge pile of logs was delivered, I nearly reconsidered but with the help of some good (and capable) friends , we did it, been a brilliant learning experience too. Only negative is that Dunsters customer service is about the worst ive experienced and there was a few incorrectly sent parts but its a good product and good value IMHO She has power, insulation, heat, decent lighting, as good a set of locks as we could find to fit , cost a lot more than we first budgeted for but its a fab place to sit down with a cuppa.
SOME of it as delivered.
End of that first weekend..Back in April..
A weekend later..
Got any pics mate 👍

I’d love a 500 as never had one back in the day always fancyed owning one , but a few reasons stop me , more or less all my mates & mates of mates say the same thing to me there a bucket full of trouble a fair few 2stroke bike mechanics I know won’t touch them , other reason is it would probably be like my other lcs & hardly ever riden Left in the shed covered over in blankets my mate does have a lovely rg 500

I tried some from 'simply bearings' a while ago (was putting an order in anyway) seem to fit ok, and were relatively cheap, but cant comment on longevity, as only pushed it around the shed that made me laugh mate same as me then

About 6 years ago I sold my makes motor home for him As he used to keep it at my yard , Someone come and had a look and said would you expect cash £28,000 , I called my mate and said they won’t to pay with cash he said money is money ok Few days later that came paid all in £50 notes Told my mate it’s gone come and pick the money up , 3 weeks later he came and got the cash from me to take to the bank And there was £10,000 of fake notes The bank took it so he lost out , Tried to get hold of the people phone dead and motor home had moved out to a new owner so we could not trace them god i bet he was sick as a dog when he paid it in he lost 10k

Yes very shoddy work The basics behind a rewind is take off the winding counting how many turns the take a new price of wire the same gauge and wind back on the same number of turns then solder the ends to the wires To not simply meter it to check continuity is just lazy Steve I totally agree and don't get why anyone wouldn't do basic checks after working on anything electrical. As Steve said they can’t be bothered too bloody lazy 😕
