Absolute disgrace that Ebay haven't eradicated this, its been going on for so long now. Someone falls for it every now and then and loses all their hard earned and Ebay don't give a f**k, the Ebay machine just keeps rolling on making a profit, total c**ts.

The scumbag's standard kit is a battery 115mm grinder and a crow bar, basically if they cannot get in with them then they generally but not always move on to easier targets. Look at your locks and think how would I get in if I lost my keys? Try and make so they need to at least have more tools and need to make more noise and take more time, also shoot the c**ts if you catch them.

Unless they are the early small cans they look crap unless you re-fabricate them ,they are lower and less swept than the standard pipes.

I always wondered why someone isn't selling official Sheene merchandise with the iconic 7 logo? after all he was the king of promotion etc in bike racing he pioneered it.

I put so many 10pence pieces in one it would have been cheaper to buy it. There was a cafe near us that had one in the passageway that led out to a car park behind the building. It was out of the way of the main cafe and pretty quiet and we would go there with a ten pee with a length of cotton sellotaped to it and ever-so-gently drop it into the coin slot and try find the switch for adding credits - once you found the switch you could rock the coin backwards and forwards and quickly get to 99 credits then play on it all day, cost free. Within a month it became impossible to do without the coin jamming and cotton snapping off - presumably because the coin mechanism had been changed to stop the trick working. Highest score I ever got was 22,380 but that was on a Mark II Space Invader that had the flashing spaceship that gave 500 points if you hit it. Fairly sure the high-scoring spaceships appeared if you first fired twelve shots then waited at the right side of the screen, then another after a further eight shots and so on. No idea how anyone figured that out but it certainly racked up your score. The Mark I bertiemollie is selling is completely original and in great condition too. Good ones like his can fetch decent money and £1500 is a real bargain. Its all coming back to me now ,there was another machine that came later It might have been centipede or asteroids I can't remember but if you had a battery type lighter that people used for lighting gas cookers and gas fires and clicked it against the chrome case where the coins go in, you could get it to register credits happy days ,shows how low tech everything was back then.

Tax and MOT exempt comes in at 40 years. Apparently it is the rare f1 model ffs. What a description he knows nothing about it, except how much he(wrongly) thinks it worth.

Thanks for all the replies, the little bike is a Rd50m ,it doesn't have the original paint on it but they only came in 2 colours in the uk in that year,I think I actually remember this actual bike it was sold from a shop about a mile from where I live ,I had a red one and the one I have now I think was black,I can't remember seeing any others around at the time except for a fizzy/rd50 hybrid, I would have noticed any others about because I was obsessed with it back then. Going to try to get the info from the Dvla ,nothing to lose.

Bit funny really I always thought of all RDs as a bit of a rebel /holigan thing and if you were a sensible type you got yourself a nice four stroke ,if not then the 2 stroke was your weapon at whatever level ,rd 125/200 for me at the time .Fast forward 30 years and the must have for some is factory standard uk green bolt matching numbers bike. Are theses people ex superdream owners that have come out of the closet? LOL Whatever floats your boat mate but as said if you are an investor matching numbers uk bike is cream of the crop. As veg said the imports seem to be the best bet if you want a bike that has the same parts on it that were fitted when it left Japan and maybe one day collectors will value that who knows?

I look at it as rebelling against the previous generation ,back in the day all the new bikes were Japs and they were loads faster, reliable and modern than all the Triumphs the older generation had. Now like you I'm the wrong side of 50 and I have a load of old Yamahas in my collection but my modern bike is a Triumph, I am just too cool to be old Ha Ha

I had Austrian documents on mine all stamped up showing the date of first registration all the previous owners etc in all a really comprehensive official history and the idiots at Dvlc sent it back and asked for a dating letter? ffs.I got the letter from Paul Dawkins and they then registered it.
