Windscreen is a stock one, different bars. Looks like a Corbin seat. Prices here in the US are sky high on RZ's. I wouldnt be surprised to see it go for 4,000-5,000 dollars. Thanks for the input guys , the lad is going to his aunts to check out the tank , compression etc for me , I’ll keep youse posted 👍

The pipes are Spec2'sI think. Was the restriction in the standard pipes? Are the carbs restricted as well ?

This has come up on the R1 forum , Bike belongs to a members cousin, looks like a California rz350 , has different pipes, probably as originals are heavily restricted , looks all there though , I’m debating having a punt on it , assuming the price allows for the inevitable rebuild spend , what you all reckon ?

Hi It's a 14mm Nissin master cylinder, correct for the Rgv calipers. It's the set up that came on my blue (now orange) hybrid originally and they worked fine back then so I don't think it's a mismatch there. It must be air trapped somewhere. I've tried tapping the calipers, lines and master cylinder with a rubber mallet.. Both calipers have been off and moved around to try and dislodge air. There is no splitter in the system so it's not hiding in there. When the calipers were off the bike I had a spanner between the pads and the calipers gripped it pretty tight but the lever was a few centimetres off the grip by that point. I feel it should be gripping long before that point. Just as well I didn't make a YouTube video of my progress - I'm already 4.5 hours in !! Dusty Had a nightmare also with the Hybrid with 4 pot Tokico calipers , I just left the brake tied back for 3 days in end , is better but never been happy really , but I’d exhausted every trick in the book like you , actually after about 509 odd miles the brakes are no bad now , get it as good as you can then do some miles would be my advice , mine passed the mot 😉, take a half bottle for the tester lol 😉😉

Guess I maybe preaching to the converted but has there ever been a better more iconic Bike , every generation has there thing but when I take this out even young bikers love the Elsie , yes it’s a hybrid but ivexa standard one and an air cooled but the hybrid gets the most comments , took it out the day , what a laugh , it’s got a mild tune an JL copy big can Allspeeds so it’s nae the fastest but it still can hustle some 600s through our Scottish twisters, specially when I’m sober and got my old race head on haha , just wanna day how good you lads are , bought two bikes off this forum , sold some stuff , bought done stuff , yer a great bunch , merry f ing Christmas from an old Scottish soldier Anyone got a bike they wanna sell me soon I’ll be looking to buy about April , pm me if you like , I’m no breaking my bank but I should have 4K if all goes well 😃

I sold a ZXR to a member on here , he was gonna use the front and rear for a hybrid , I measured it up , I reckon it's no more difficult than using rgv stuff 👍

Well after years of LC madness I finally got myself a nice windy one, bought Russ's nice RD250D , cheers mate 😃, nice paint and lecy ignition otherwise totally standard, got spare barrels with her which are getting sent for a rebore, got the alloy wheels as well and still to decide on refitting those, probably will as I prefer the look, rechrome the shiny bits, frame paint , cases painted, and that's it , great wee bike and tides well , paint already done to a high standard, does anyone know if LC small can allspeeds can be fitted to these , I've a set on my garage wall 😃

Simoniz Engine Enamel all day long for me, did my cases with it and my Allspeeds , great finish and petrol resistant , I hung mine overnight beside my boiler to cure the paint, worked well.
