Due to a family bereavement over christmas and working on the FZR (which still refuses to start) the RD has been on the back burner but we are working on the wheels and brakes at the weekend and then get some BT 45's off Norbo when Ive got the dosh.

Hi Guys, after a manic few weeks, we've finally managed to get out to the bikes and we now have three running (the fourth stands no chance - its all in a box) It was starting to get dark, so the picture quality is crap (plus it's a digital camera with add-on video) but I think you get the gist s72.photobucket.com/albums/i175/rufarse/?action=view¤t=Itsrunning.flvHim indoors spotted a water leak so when we've a few more pennies we will get a copper head gasket.

These are the jobs Ive yet to sort out on the bike besides the bodywork.
Sort out Water Leak. Drain radiator and touch up cylinder head bolts and side bolts. Do a plug chop and make sure oil is getting through to the plugs. Sort out side stand Spray paint the centre stand spring and fit it. Brake Calipers put back together and fitted on the bike. Take off exhausts and polish end cans and footpeg holders. Prep wheels ready for polishing and spray painting. Sort out short circuit on switch gear. Take off switchgear rub down and respray. Get new switch gear decals. Route the switch gear cables the correct way around the forks.
Im hoping to get some of these done by the weekend (weather permitting) and all of them done in the next couple of weeks. Then Ive got the bodywork and brakes to do and the bike is virtually finished.

Stripped the top end of the engine down and just checking the water leak Ive got. I need to put some gasket sealer on the head gasket and I think it will solve the problem. I then need to rebuild the head. Next job is polish the footrest hangers and end cans. (hopefully this weekend if the weather holds )

Hopefully Ive got the water leak sorted. Ive put the head gasket back on and Ive used a small amount of gasket sealer. Rufarse is working on polishing up the footpeg hangers at the moment and Im going to be rubbing down and respraying the switchgear. Weve got some time off at Easter so we can crack on and hopefully complete the bike.
