First of all the carbs have been balanced. The Radiator is on now and connected. I have a problem though. The battery may be dead but Ive charged it and put it on the bike, the bike is dead the powervalves dont turn. Ive put the spark plugs in the ht leads to check for a spark and there is nothing. Majority of the wiring is connected, the only ones that we can see that arent are the front indicators and headlight. I do have another brand new battery but I havent filled it and charged it yet. That will be done at the weekend. So I can try out this new battery, but I dont think its the battery. Im sure I read somewhere that you should still get a spark at the plugs even if the battery is dead. (I might be wrong though) Any ideas peeps? Mellow I like the new avatar.......poser. ;D

Pabs, only the headlight and front indicators aint wired up, surely they wont affect me getting a spark?
All the wiring will be finished tomorrow night.

previous owner butchered the sidestand switch to high heaven (no surprise there!) and the bike was running fine without it. Here's some piccies, others are under s72.photobucket.com/albums/i175/rufarse/?sc=1&addtype=localThis is the bit we're on about with the confusion There's a yellow/black wire which currently connects to a yellow/green wire, but there's a yellow/black attached to nothing. Also as you can see in the picture, there's a dark blue wire doing naff all on it's own, with nothing attached. From looking at the wiring diagram the sidestand control is skyblue? Also Mellow, black wire you were on about, is it the one on the right hand side of the bike resting over the frame?

right zeb me ol mucker................... the yellow/black yellow/green wires are for the indicators.if u have a indicator cancelling unit u connect the yellow/black to the yellow/green if u do not have the cancelling unit u connect the yellow/blacks together the black wire...................that dont look like it to me m8 from here it should come out of the main loom roughly by the servo for the powervalves and have a loop connector on it so a bolt can go through it. the blue wire im pretty sure should b connected to summin......check the loom that comes from the alternator....shoud b a blue connector there sumwhere
