well done mate top job , Very lucky to get a ypvs unit for it , did you just plug it all in and it worked ok ?
£300 is a good buy and i can see your well on the way to making a minter. You'd think they were easy to restore and they can take an age to get the right parts .
Even a 125 starts taking its toll on the money front ... super job........... phil

Prefer the red and black colour scheme myself but that looks just like a mates bike from when I was 18, now 36............ i had a red and white one when i was 17, that was 18 years ago, do like the black and red my mate had one. here my rd125lc first day i got her after getting my ar80 stolen (got insurance money and bought her)

Yes yes yes, no need to rub it in jeez. Half the remaining p.v kits in the world must belong to members on this forum I don't care how much of a hassle it is (changing the con rod and loom) its worth it I hate yam for not just fitting a mechanical powervalve, like they did on the motocrossers Had to make it complecated didn't they ;D

well t cut as a final polish is good as well...just hate the old black finger's... T cut is a bit too abrasive for final polish m8 I use the proper polishing soap or Maas creme for a quick buff up

if your tryin to polish it from scratch with autosol it will take a year u need the proper polishing kit really If its in a highly polished form already (like carlo's stunning engine ) and u just wanna give it a quick shine autosol is too coarse. Use either carlos's link,MAAS Creme or even maybe the Auto Glym metal polish

That polish keeps the shine, but it needs to be shiny first! It apparently puts a clear coat on it to stop it oxidising!
Mine needs a clean though, it's got a bit of dust on it!
And, with a shine like that you need to be careful not to pick up any grit on the cloth

yes m8 they all say that...MAAS leaves a protective sheen to stop oxidisation

Do you use 240 grit, 400 grit, 600 grit wet and dry then use that polishing soap? I cant find any information on the polishing soap online :/
