Looking like great progress on Version 2.0, tho sad to hear of the crash.
One thing I would say which may help (or not) is that I had a bit of an issue with the nose fairing (over all styling issues) and clocks doing the RGV kit on an LC2 previously and what follows is meant as constructive criticism of course and is my 2c.
The issue I found was that it was hard to get the fairing to be 'close enough in' and in the right place on the RGV setup.
It was long before they came out, but I felt the nose cone looked a bit like the XSR900 RD reboots (tho, maybe its a 700? I dunno, i mean those Hag 'things' anyway) or maybe a preying mantis?
The nose on the thick forks seemed to push it out and make it much more like a bolt on than on the LC2 which is well integrated etc.
What I found was it needed to sit 'in and up' closer to the clocks/bars than it seems at first fit, this was only to get the aesthetics more like the original of course and if you like the insect/XSR look then its fine of course.
(To me) The 'odd' look really annoyed me until i could make it feel less like an add on etc. It is possible but will take a bit of messing of course.
The reason I mention it is that the clocks may well need to be in closer than you have now as filling the gap 'to the fairing' will lesser when/if the fairing is placed closer.
Anyway, I know your brackets will be lovely and a fun build, but I just thought id mention it as didnt want you to have to do extra work later etc.

Jon W . Thanks for your thoughts 🤔,I know what your saying on this,on the other bike I got it sitting lovely that was without the nose cone bracket, that was a task !! This time we have the correct bracket,I've fixed it to the yokes and the nose cone can't come any further back as it will be touching the forks. It may look a bit odd at the moment without the mudguard etc etc I've looked at how others have fixed and I've gone on there's, ,will see how it looks when it's more together, thanks for your comment 🙂Chris

You are the king of the custom bracket, if anyone can go down that route its you. Its harder work but we do love details of course. Anyway, im sure what you do will be great.

Sorry to hear about your brothers 'off', but very glad he is ok. Are you completely rebuilding the whole bike?
I'm sure it will be a stunner anyway!

Mouse thanks mouse , not really were building this rolling chassis up get it sorted, powder coated etc ,then swap everything across from his other bike ,apart from the tank thats toast . In time we can build up his other for a future project,he wanted the rgv running gear he allways has. We could use his other frame but I cut off the swing arm lugs for the fzr arm and would be hard work to put back to stock to use the NK kit .

Looks good! Would it work if you fitted dome headed bolts and from the other side?

Hi Chris, re the Brembo caliper catching the Tyga bracket, yes! Mine did, in the middle of the bracket where the caliper is rounded to allow for the piston, it touched the bracket below the 'YG' of Tyga if that makes sense?
I ended up gently filing away part of the bracket with a round file then painting the bare aluminium black. You don't need to file away a lot.
I did contact Tyga about this and they told me it had never happened to anyone else, yes, sure...

Hi mouse , yes that's exactly right just toutches, ok so that's the solution, I wanted to check to see if we had the wrong calliper or something! I will put it in the mill and take a smidge out of the bracket. Thank you 😊

As an aside i ended up binning the set up and went back to a standard RGV caliper, the Brembo caliper was hopeless! mouse

mouse Ahh... That wont be music to Chris' ears but I was quietly pleased to hear it as for years Ive coveted doing this 'upgrade' to one of my RGV rear ended projects and that new saves me a bit of money I guess. I quite like the tandem caliper of the VJ22, but have had unfixable ones over the years. FYI to anyone rebuilding one, Kawasaki used em as well and their parts are generally cheaper.

Yes, I believe the KR1 or KR1-S (or perhaps both?). Jon

Certainly KR1. The issue is the Rgv caliper carrier. They are often very expensive second hand and not exactly plentiful. The Brembo caliper is standard fitment on a Ducati Monster I believe, so in theory should be good. As with all underslung calipers they can be a pig to bleed properly (always my least favourite job).

I reckon the poor Brembo caliper performance will be down to master cylinder mismatch
The caliper is small so the YPVS master is probably too big
I've got an rgv rear caliper bracket somewhere.
Where that somewhere is will probably never be found 😮💨
