Just bought this £2300 250lc, which is going to be 350 I've been spending all the money I got for my GT750 4k in new and second-hand goods so far, including a 350 top end and rebore, that's £900 on its own, which is pretty good by today's prices. Man, they are getting expensive now.

Though that with the daily price rises I had better get everything I can bought.
I am in the middle of stripping it all down to its individual parts for cleaning and refurbishment.
Good job I have plenty of time and I love tinkering.
Wonder how long this is going to keep me busy for.

He delivers free to me as I'm only 30 miles away. It was nearly all there, and is all restorable, nothing too far gone. I had 2 that had good engines, so I didn't get to rebuild the engines, the fact that this one had the head and barrels off mean I have to rebuild this one, it was just what I was looking for as I now have to rebuild, sounds dumb and probably is, but I get to rebuild one at last. Isn't it mad I have paid 6 odd grand and probably a few more to be spent for the privilege of rebuilding the bike I never finished the last 2

That looks nice, I like to see a complete rebuild, so much fun. Getting stonkingly expensive now though. I totted up a complete engine rebuild for the F2 the other day (not needed yet) including all the goodies to make top notch motor and got to 2k in parts. Athena, different carbs, reed blocks, ignition etc (most if not all from Norbo) add on top Dave at Mutts setting it up. Keep up the good work.

Yes, very expensive now, but it's my only extravagance, I don't drink, that helps with paying for things 7k in already with more to spend

(black at base of mainstand) excellent progress sir It's getting GPS speedo and digital tacho / temp gauge, that piece is a bracket I made to hold said new gauges in the original clock cases and bracket, it will not be visible once fitted, only powder coated to protect from rust, all will be revealed as I go

I am not sure of colour yet, or what I am going to use, not sure whether to 350 it now, because it's matching numbers 250 on the books, I have 2 x 250 top end's and a 350, debating whether to tune a 250 top end or not, I do enjoy tuning, all a bit unsure ATM. Thanks for offer, I will let you know as I go.

Ohh nice. I do a love a GPS speedo install. I did one on my LC421 along with a digital temp gauge to create something a bit different a while back. Are you putting the antenna on the tail or somewhere else?

Are you putting the antenna on the tail or somewhere else? Thanks Jon, the plan is to use digital temp gauge, digital tacho and a gear selector gauge in the other side, Koso gauges and cheap Chinese gear selector, pictured earler in the thead, still have to work out how to fit the other gauges. I am thinking about putting the antenna in the clock cases too, if I can that is, I think it will get a good signal there, still working it all out, I was excited to see what it looks like and show others.

This is what i did, older unit as it was a few years back. I cut and shut the digital temp into the OEM tacho. Love lil projects like this, so much fun Antenna on the cases would be good. line of sight, clearer the better to the sats i found.

Yes I agree, I love this type of thing too, has to have the standard binnacle, but needs digital gauges IMO, I need an accurate speedo here in Wales, with the new 20MPH limit in place I don't want any tickets for speeding, equally I don't want to do less than 20, I would never get anywhere.

20 is a nightmare….More than 20, get done for speeding…less than 20 get done for curb crawling..
