Pub round the corner from me (that I don't go to but my neighbours do) charge £6.20 for a pint of Fosters. And they wonder why they struggle to stay open. Alex WTF! Really? Who in their right mind would pay that for Fosters? Am I that far out of touch and didn't realise? My local usually has four hand pulled beers. They always have Sleck Dust and Doombar and swap the other two around. There's usually a stout and quite often Black Sheep. I have one of those three and sometimes all of them and my Mrs has half of Corrs and I'm pretty sure it's six pound odd.

We've been provided with a nice packed lunch every day on this course. There's plenty of it so what I don't eat and the other guys don't want I've been bringing back to the room for my evening meal. Maybe it makes me look like a bit of a tramp but you know what? I don't care, it saves me buying something and it stops it going in the bin. So win win.

Prices here are mental. The sarf if you didn't already know! Had a coffee with my ex today at the local place and that was £8. Hey ho and all that.
Good idea on the free dinner. I'd do the same thing!

I paid £6 for a pint of cider the other week but it was at southport flower show... so it was a hiked price for a pint of piss... in fact I nearly choked on it after stumping up sick squid... I've just brewed a 23ltr kit from Mangrove Jacks, kegged 19lts and bottled the rest. It's as good as my local artisan's bottled beer.... and my hops are nearly ready for gathering, so I'll be doing some all grain brewing shortly.

When we go for something to eat in the local and we're sitting there waiting for our food to appear and I'm hungry we see the waiting staff taking half eaten meals back to the kitchen to be thrown away. Why do people do that? I wouldn't go out to eat if I couldn't finish off what I've ordered. Maybe it's the era and area I came from? I have to admit that last time we went out we had a big starter to share. I ended up having to leave some of my pie. I felt the need to apologise to the girl who took it away.

They are even tighter than I thought... as its the bride's father who usually picks up the tab...and there is 2 of them!! They only had to pick up 50% of the tab each!!

I've got a Woodforde's Wherry kit in the cupboard, a present from one of the lads. I need to get a pressure barrel or something to get it rolling. I should get on with it. I believe Wilcos do some homebrew stuff.

Big surprise! Apparently the people I went for an interview with want to see me for a second stage interview tomorrow. I wasn't expecting that. I was sure being myself would put them off. The big boss came back from his holidays today. I think he probably refuses to believe what the other two have told him and wants to see for himself! Do I wear the same tie and the other guy thinks I only have one? Do I have another? I will confess, I can't tie one without a lot of help from Youtube, I leave them with the knots in on a coat hanger . If they find out this they'll think I'm a right dummy Better get something done on the bike. If I end up with a job I won't have much time to do it.

You never know...the job may be perfect for you Good luck anyroad up. What is a tie? Is it some kind of tictok ligature challenge? Thanks, you never know. Although perfect would be two days a week for 30k I just remember guys coming for interviews at my old spot wearing ties so I thought it was the done thing. The lads interviewing me had polo shirts on. I never once wore a tie in my last job. What made me laugh a few years ago was two of our South Korean clients came up to Hull and arrived on the Saturday morning at our place. They both has suits and ties on but being a saturday we were all in our scruff; jeans T's and trainers. When they came back in on the Monday they had jeans and T shirts on and we were back in our shirts and trousers.
