Yep , same here , but still waiting for the new V5 with historic on it to be sent to me , that was 28 days ago now and counting . I've since sold my car and had the V5 back and a cheque for the tax refund back within a week . Let the DVLA roulette begin....

Me too, taxed my 41 year old CB900F and sent the log book back to dvla on 1st April and still waiting for my new one with Historic on it.
Been checking on the gov.uk website and it kept saying new logbook issued 2011 so I knew they hadn't done it yet.
But....just checked it now and it says new logbook issued 27th April so I know it's been done and on the way, yippee!ππ

did mine on 1st April, the PO didn't give me any free tax or anything, just wrote on ther V5 "historic" and threw it on a pile ready to be sent off to DVLA, my bike was taxed at the time so maybe why I didn't get any tax etc, so just had to pay my road tax again as its still showing as normal, no new V5 or anything either, oh well, it will come through eventually I am sure

Well, my new V5 arrived yesterday so it basically took a month to arrive.
Just nice to see it classed as Historic vehicle on the logbook.π
Just got to sort out the ULEZ charge now as it's still saying I've gotta pay the Β£12.50 fee every time I ride into London!π©
Historic vehicles are exempt.π

You still have to get your bike exempt on the TFL data base.
If you check it on the ULEZ website it will still say you have to pay the Β£12.50 daily charge even though it's now Historic.
They don't make it easy, it's down to you to prove it's exempt.π©π‘

The lettets TFL remind me of when i working in a factory that worked on the JIT (just in time) supply chain, however they never paid their bills on time and the bought-in components were late and shop floor described them as TFL, you work it out π

I dont think you need to register it with TFL as historic, not even aware its possible. They get their info from DVLA. My DT has been historic for a year now and I have not had any problems riding in the ULEZ but their online checker still says I have to pay it. Ive never registered it. However my LC went historic on 1st April 22 and they have tried to charge me ULEZ on the 23rd April. Its their systems that are out of sync and sh1t My DT was showing that I have to pay CC on their checker but all motorcycles are exempt! I also have a CB750 that I registered historic in March 22 and I dont have any problems with that either
Yet all 3 historic bikes on their checker say I have to pay it, complete 8olloks!

So, following my email to TFL and sending them a copy of my V5C I got this response today.
Hooray, no more Ulez charge for the old girl.π
They still recon I've got to pay the Congestion charge so only goes to prove they didn't even check my vehicle was a motorcycle.π©
Still not updated on the TFL website though, gggrrr!π‘
ULEZLondon@cclondon.com tfl.gov.uk/ulez Dear Our Ref: Customer Account Number:
Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) - Enquiry
Thank you for your enquiry, received 14 May 2022, about the ULEZ. We can see from the documentation provided that your vehicle registration P*****W is 'Historic tax class' and therefore no ULEZ charge is applicable. This means you do not have to pay the ULEZ charge to travel in the zone. You will still need to pay the Congestion Charge if you drive in the zone, or you will receive a Penalty Charge Notice.
For more information please visit our website at tfl.gov.uk/ulez Yours sincerely D. Milton Contracts & Operations Manager Transport for London

I saw that some chap took his 350 YPVS and TDR to be tested for emissions, then got a ULEZ exemption.
NOx emissions were close to zero. Riverside motorcycle did the test. Nice chaps and they love old bikes.
