I'm probably gonna have to take both my Powervalves there. £175 each bike though!😩 Tried getting emissions info from Yamaha but they're just not interested in something so old....fook sake!😡 Put your catalyser pipes back on the RZ Fred that’ll sort it, it’ll be flat as a witches tit though 😂😂 I’ve not checked mine but did the RZ have emissions data on a plate ?

But the bottom line was they didn’t record nitrous oxide levels back then as they weren’t required to for uk rules at the time.

I thought when I bought my LC frame for a hybrid build that I'd be registering it as historic
Turns out it was registered May 83

Unfortunately not mate, I've probably got every single piece of literature written about the RZ but there's absolutely nothing about the emissions specs.😩 It's gotta be out there somewhere as Yamaha had to strip the emissions down to the bone just to be able to sell them in the US. But it was probably CO2 rather than NOx.😡 Still, I think I'll contact Yamaha US as they surely must have the data stashed away somewhere!🤔😁

Well, 7 weeks later and still no Historic V5C, so I contacted DVLA via web chat, as the phone system was giving a 45 min wait time! After going through the standard questions, I got transferred to a person in 20 mins and they checked my application and found there was a 'system error' on it, so they will investigate and send me an updated V5C in 10 days.
