having trouble when i stop on my rd350lc, cant get from 1st and into neutral
gears through the gears no probs
i have found when removing the stargear that it as some sharpe edges around the neutral position tooth
should i buy the buy the pro star kit of norbo but still use the original stiff spring, or use the light way spring
or just use a dremmel to clean up the edges on the neutral tooth them put back together

Star isn't the usual issue. Easiest to try the Oil 'fix' first. I use GL4 gear oil. Eliminated my Finding 1st issues.. entirely. Worth a try?
Cobble up a small Jig. Basically a pivot pin for the Star so you can rotate it uniformly against a grinder wheel.. To ensure all star points get equally flattened, then carefully grind/ polish those flats into smooth rounds. Not rocket science .. just work.. IMO 'upgrading' the follower bearing is more self indulgence than useful.
