Hi guys has anyone used the YSS uprated fork springs for a 4L0? They are 525mm long whereas standard is 495mm. It’s possible to fit them but it’s a struggle. I’m just wondering if they’ve sent me the wrong ones or are they supposed to be that long?

I can’t remember how long the preload spacer is (or indeed if an LC has them?), but from memory my Hagon springs for a YPVS did away with the preload spacer as they were longer.

I know that the Hagon springs are a fair bit longer than what came out of mine, can't remember the actual measurments now.

Hi seanclarky - resurrecting this old thread. I was hoping to know how you got on fitting the YSS springs. I’m trying to fit them to my LC, but they seem too long and compressing them to get the top plug in is a struggle. They sit a good few inches above the Stanchions. Any help appreciated.

Hi sorry I've just seen this, yes the YSS springs are longer and a struggle to get the caps on. But I managed it with the help of a mate compressing while I fitted the clip. They made a big difference to the front end and firmed it up alot. I would recommend fitting them, cheers

I used the method listed in a previous thread with a vice and 2-legged puller. Makes the job of fitting the YSS springs an absolute doddle. Great tip that.
