Unfortunately I needed a commuter bike after passing my test... bought a brand new GPz305 (chain drive)... lunched its engine within 18 months, being a bit naive back then, I should have pushed harder for a warranty claim. Never had a Kawasaki since, and the guy that sold me the bike, now owns my local Indi bike shop and I remind he frequently of that pile of poo. So I bought my first LC to race in 1989, which I still own now.

I'm one of the 15% - bought a 350LC in 1980 (one of first shipment, put my deposit down in Nov or Dec 1979) and ran it through until summer 1989. Then two things happened in fairly quick succession - I bought a new VFR750 in June and in July the LC suffered a fairly terminal failure of the LH exhaust port flange. I partially stripped it, realised I couldn't fix it easily and shoved the bike to the back of the garage and forgot about it. For the next 26 or 27 years. It was only when I was forced to clear out the rented lock-up garage because the owner was selling up that I decided to do something about it, and it eventually returned to the road in September 2020.

Bought it in Juli 180, sold it to my brother in 1995, bought it back in 2018. Intent to start restoring it this year.
